To me this is a good solid stock. I have had no problems whatsoever with it. It’s comfortable to me also. Great value if you ask me. Especially when compared to the others that are so much more expensive. It’s not very heavy, or anything. I really like it, and may buy another one.

I have bought a few AR-15 style buttstocks from this website, and this is the only one I haven’t returned. I am not super old, but I’m from another generation, and place where responsible firearms use, and ownership as a child of maybe 10 yo onwards was a normal thing for boys. I grew up mostly shooting old hunting rifles, double barrels, etc., and that traditional style stock is the most natural to me. To me this stock feels more like something I haven’t weighed anything, but this feels lighter to me than collapsible versions I also have that are almost otherwise the same. You can’t shorten the rifle to jump in a car really quick or something like you can with a collapsible though. In order not to drag this review out with a lot of unnecessary information I’ll say that this stock locked up solid on my rifle. It isn’t heavy. It is comfortable. I really dig the little compartment in the endplate. Probably the only thing I don’t like about it is the way the sling mount is attached in a permanent position, and at an angle. I’m not really sure why it’s gotten low marks from other people, but when dealing with the ar15 platform you run into a ton of snobbery. Where if something isn’t made by so and so tactical that some special forces group uses, then it’s no good.

No where in description does it say what you get. Only a picture of side view. It comes with but plate but the bokt that holds it on is extra. Plus no spacer included. So now if you want them you have to pay extra plus $13 more for shipping a 1 inch bolt lol. That's why it looks cheaper then others. Because it's not all there.

Look at picture and tunk you are getting a full stock but you are not. It just shows a side view for a reason. IT DOES NOT INCLUDE TOP VENT BOLT OR SPACER.The but plate is there with sling attachment and bolt.They won't tell you the manufacturer does not include too bolt until you ask after you get it.Now for whopping $13 more shipping and $10 for a 1 inch bolt and spacer. They will happy sell you the stuff to attach it. They say the bolt comes with buffer spring. None that I have bought came with one. So just buy a complete set or use this one only if for a replacement A2 stock if you have all the parts. I think a description of what's included would go a long way.

I ordered this stock for a rifle build. I should have noticed it only shows a side view with the sling attachment. When it arrived it had no spacer or top butplate bolt. Contacted Optic planet to ask about missing pieces. After a few emails they said manufacture says it doesn't come with them but sold separately. No where in description does it say this is just a replacement stock if you have the parts or you need to add the parts when ordering. Who sells you a car then say you have to buy tires extra. Now they offered me to return for credit with a print out shipping label. There is no fed ex or ups drop offs except 45 min away. So that is an 1.5 hr round trip for me. Now if i want to order the parts to finish the build it will only cost me $25 more for (2) $5 parts plus shipping again. I just paid $10 to ship the stock. So now i would have paid $38 to get the stock with shipping and now $25 for adding what should have came with it.

This is a very nice stock,nicely made and of good quality. Better than the other brands that cost twice as much . Thank you for keeping the price as low as possible.

I was surprised at the quality and construction of this stock. Went on the rifle with no problems. Seems to be well built and will last a long time. It's cheap and does the job. I put it on an Ar-10 Sabre from PSA.

Exactly what I needed for my build - very fast shipping and great price

Evidently, I miscounted by one on my complete kits as I had a "spare" buffer tube. So I ordered a standalone stock, spacer and stock bolt. Now this is a spare set, yet I purposely fitted the parts to a rifle and everything works as its supposed to.....

No mounting hardware. If you don't already have the spacers, screws, and correct buffer tube you're SOL. The butt pad fits poorly. Not recommended at all but I guess I should have read the description more carefully. Save yourself the hassle, buy a complete kit.
