Screw did not fit receiver
The mount itself seems fine, now that it is finally mounted. Before I purchased it I called customer service to check to see that this would fit my Remington 870 Express. I was guaranteed that it would fit. Well, the front screw that was provided was too big for the hole in the receiver. So, I had to ream the front hole in the receiver in order to get the front screw mounted. Not a huge project, I guess, but it was frustrating that I had to mess around with this. I saw other reviews warning of this, but I was just hoping that I would have been one of the lucky ones that was going to have...

Sniper Tactical Saddle Scope Sight Weaver/Picatinny Rail Mounts For Remington 870
Product installed and functions as expected. I suggest using a hand driver with a torx bit to run the screws in. You need to apply a bit of force to get the threads to start and it's hard to do that with the included tiny wrench. Otherwise, install went smoothly.

Okay, I guess
As stated in other reviews, the screws are to big to fit shotgun receiver, at least the forward hole. Rear screw fit but ended up using the original pin for forward hole. Thought about filing the pin down then it occurred to me the threads would get jacked up and it wouldn't work anyway. Well, what did you expect for $25. This mount will NOT work on the 870 Express with 3.5 inch chamber. The mount partially blocks the ejection port. I have it on a Wingmaster. Mounted a Burris Fast Fire III and put a couple rounds through it. Seems sturdy enough. This will work for me. Now I have a slug gun with scope and will take mount off at end of deer season and put it away until next fall.

Doesn't fit
Larger screw will not go into the hole for it in the frame of my customer's 870. He rejected it, so I must return it. Waste of time and money! I want free return and refund price & of shipping paid to receive it in the first place. Otherwise it's OK. Should have a corrosion-proof (perhaps stainless steel) option for use with "all-weather" guns.
Pros:
- Looks like it will do the job, but
Cons:
- Screw oversize, so can't mount it.
Best Used for:
- return goods

Tactical Saddle Scope Mount
Just mounted this on an old Remington 870 Wingmaster. I did first clean burrs from the insides of the mounting holes to assure no extra scratches on the shotgun, and then slid it into place (after removing mounting pins from the 870). The larger mount screw slipped into place without issue. The smaller screw was about .001 over-size, something that was fixed in minutes with some quite fine sand paper. Be careful on that part as too much might cause the threads to slip. After that, mounting was a breeze, and the red dot went into place without issue. While I have not yet fired the weapon, there is no doubt that it will be a solid platform, and that it will maintain it's position. Might have to ultimately put a little thread locker on the screws, but that is all that needs done. A quite excellent product for the price.
Pros:
- price and quality
Cons:
- A few burrs, but not enough to be an issue, and the slightly large pin was easily fitted
Best Used for:
- any sight to be mounted on an 870

Easy installation
Fit was good except the threads of one bolt were bigger than the hole. Filed it down a few thousandths while spinning in a drill and then it worked perfectly. Plenty of room to mount stuff and it looks neat.
