Clear optic with a great reticle. Great eyebox, fast to pick up. Only using it to 100 yards so far and feel confident with 2.5x magnification. Built very solid, mounts to carry handle with a thumb screw I purchased separately.

So I just reviewed this prism and it's very well made. So far. It's kept its zero and the illumination is good. I haven't had much time with it yet so I can't say anything about the longterm. It is currently mounted on my carry handle and has spots for the screws to go in, you need a really short ended Allen wrench to do it but I did it so...anyone can, overall this thing in the few days I've had it it performs like a champion. They have a lifetime warranty too so....why not right?
Pros:
- Clarity
- Quality
- Affordable
- effective
- Easy to mount
- solid
- eye relief
- Mounting options
Best Used for:
- hunting
- competition
- Self defense
- Training
- Good times

Using on a 7.62x39 AR pistol build. Love it. Great sight up close and hits perfectly at 100 yds. Haven’t taken it out any further than that yet. Glass is really clear and the ACSS retical is phenomenal.
Pros:
- clear glass
- CQB and mid-range engagements
- Retical is fantastic

Very rugged optic with clear glass and the etched reticle is a great plus. Great for use in home or outdoors to distances out to the practical use of the fourth best varmint round, the .223/5.56
I always see people describe this optic as a "poor mans ACOG", i call B.S. on that as one doesnt have to plant their eyeball on this prism optic like you do with the overrated ACOG.
If you are older and have Astigmatism/both near and far sighted, this surpasses any red dot magnified or not as you dont get the flare one gets if hampered with astigmatism when using red dots.....no "comet tail" or "puff ball". The ACSS reticle is incredible as well. Rather than being a "poor mans ACOG" I think of the ACOG as an idiotic way to waste a lot of money. Just because GI Joe runs an ACOG on some video game doesnt make that overpriced brick a superior optic. Both are equally rugged.
Get one while you can. Soon Brandon will declare these as being racist and ban them.
Cons:
- A new generation is coming that is lighter
Best Used for:
- every reasonable application

I've had this Optic since 2017. I really liked it but I bought an EOTech in 2019 and switched to that for a couple years. Recently I switched back to this Primary Arms optic and remembered just how great it really is and how much I liked it. The EOTech is definitely a great optic but this optic has some distinct advantages. It is very well made and is very affordable. The illuminated reticle of this optic truly is every bit as fantastic as so many others have mentioned in their reviews. It is easy to acquire targets quickly. It is easy to range targets and the 2.5x magnification is perfect for bridging the gap between interior close quarters battle and exterior urban engagements (with zombies) that may range out to 200+ yards. If you have concerns about the 2.5X magnification may be difficult when in a CQB environment, the 2.5X magnification is actually quite easy for your eye to adjust to when using in confined spaces when you have both eyes open. I had no issues with that and others who have used my rifle to try this optic also said that they had no problems adjusting to the magnification. I can recommend this optic with confidence after extended use and comparing it directly to another top of the line optic. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.
Pros:
- Price
- Reticle and clarity
- maginfication
- ranging function
- overall excellent quality
Best Used for:
- Close Quarters Battle - CQB
- short to medium range engagement
Would recommend: Yes

I love this ACSS optic! This prism scope is magnified, though fixed. It’s also got the ballistic drop dots which is convenient for shooting at the outdoor range past 50 yards. The notches on the side are convenient for measuring the distance of your target past 200 yards. And best of all the reticle is permanently etched in black in case of battery failure, which I know I’m prone to forgetting to turn off. You really have to use loctite to secure the screws or else it will loosen up and throw off your shots. But overall I plan to learn to hunt with this new build and I feel like I have good setup to begin a new skill with this optic. It’s like having a magnifier, a range finder and a red dot all in one!! Parallax not an issue neither.
Pros:
- Three things in one - magnifier, red dot, rangefinder, with ballistic drop!

This sight reminds me very much of the Trijicon ACOG sight. It does not excel in any particular category but as an overall compromise it works very well.
Good things about it: field of view, clarity of the optics, works without batteries, adjustable focus, rugged design, and price.
negative things: overall size is big compared to newer compact prism scopes, vee is small and hard to shoot precise groups, stadia lines are approximate and not as accurate as mil dots.
Overall if you are looking for a low power optic for an AK or M4 style rifle and you plan on shooting steel rather than paper punching the smallest groups possible you will be happy with this product.
Pros:
- cost
- Quality & Affordable

This is a very Good optic. Primary arms make good stuff. The etched reticle is good if you have issues with reddots where you see a star instead of a dot. I would recommend this to anyone. Opticsplanet has the best deals on optics

This acss scope is a beast have it mounted on my 556 and I love it. I let my friends shoot my AR for the first time and they were amazed on how accurate this gun is. Big shoutout to dimitri who created the acss reticle. By the way all of my 7 guns have to the acss scopes on it way to go primary arms
