Great range finding scope for 1200fps 22LR

Great scope for casual 22 shooting. The ranging reticle works great with 1200fps 22's and is accurate out to every distance I've tried. 175yds is no problem taking shots and hitting, my max range at home. At 25 - 50 yds it is right at home too, but really shines when you get out to 100yds plus.
I'm now completely used to it and have no problem going from one range to another instinctively.
This is the second one I've bought from Optics Planet, and am very happy :-)

Pros, makes hitting targets out to 200yds with a 22 rifle easy.
Con's, no illuminated reticle.
Pros:

  • Small and compact, works well with rifles that have iron sights.
Cons:
  • no illumination
Best Used for:
  • Plinking and casual shooting

.308 winchester

I have put this on a .308 win hunting rifle. Works great for a compact scope. I completely understand this WAS NOT designed for a light weight heavy kicking rifle. However it has held up over the course of about 60 rounds. I still trust it to hold zero.

Great scope on my 22LR lever gun. Sighted it in at 25 yards. Hitting cans at to 150 using the ACSS reticle. Very fun and simple!

Superb scope

This is an amazing scope for 22 LR.
I chose it because it was fixed power and compact.
I wanted this for my 10-22. because I'm tired of having large optics on such a slim rifle this was perfect.
The reticle is very effective although I would have liked to have a horizonal cross hair at the main aiming point.
just my personnel preference

6x acss 22 lr scope

Great scope being 6x helps senior eyes. The ranging capabilities are excellent it really helps you extend the lowly 22 distance for impact. Highly recommended and primary arms if you’re checking these reviews out I need an acss for the 17 HMR

Another case of defective reticle

I've owned multiple PA products and am overall happy but for this scope:

I took one range trip using this 22LR scope and the reticle rotated to the 1 o'clock position. In other words, the scope is level (using a turret level) but the reticle is diagonal.

I would not recommend until they find a fix to this production issue.

Plinkers Delight

It is bright, sharp and clear, especially for the size/price. The ACSS reticle is great for a plinker, truck or hunting gun, but isn't quite close enough with all loads for a competitive shooter and the design of the turrets isn't meant for dialing impact points. It seems to hold impact well after mild knocking about. Just for a take out and go shooting with no gear or rangefinders, its awesome.

Bustin clays and taking names..

Here now for the 3rd one.. 1 on a ruger 10-22, 1 on a Colt M4 .22 and this 3rd one will go on a 15-22.. We have our own backyard range full of steel plates.. The 12 yo grand daughter and the 55 yo wife can both ring and swing multiple 3 inch steel plates at 50-75 yds.. 100 yards and we step up to 6 inch plates and have'em swinging.. 150 yds the 12 inch plates are pinging maybe not swinging, it is .22.. We LOVE the reticle for our use.. If your a plinker, bustin cans, clays or steel gongs you should like this self ranging reticle.. I've heard tell this was built around the cci mini mag, but our go to ammo is the cheaper Aguila HV ammo and it works like a charm..

  • quality glass, value and that reticle..
Cons:
  • no illumination
