Rock Chuckar's Review of Primary Arms SLx MD-25 Rotary Knob 1x25mm Microdot Reflex Sight

I have 3 of these mounted on PCC's and .223 rifles. My wife has a Gen 1 version and my brother purchased one of the Gen 2 versions for his girlfriend as well.

I only have around 500 rounds through the firearms with this optic. So, the only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that I cannot personally speak to long term durability.

I am very pleased with the features, functionality, and initial build quality of the SLx-MD-25 Gen 2 for the price. The various risers and spacers allow you to get just the right height for the best alignment on different platforms. I really appreciate the 25mm objective over the 20mm options out there. I think it makes a difference in my ability to rapidly acquire and maintain a target. I am a fan of the ACSS CQB horse shoe reticle with the center chevron and BCD dots. It supports rapid close in point and shoot as well as longer range more accurate aiming when needed. AutoLive is certainly a plus on any firearm for defense purposes. The optic/lens quality is probably where some costs are being saved. There is greater discoloration around the edges but it will certainly get the job done. Reticle adjustments work well with definitive clicks. Some complain about the mass of the dials blocking field of view but I find that if I have both eyes open, I can still see a full field of view around the optic.

I think you would be hard pressed to find a better quality and feature rich optic for the price. (Don't let Primary Arm's or Optics Planet read this last part :) )
