Awesome scouting light.
I purchased this someplace else, but wanted to chime in on the reviews for it. This is a low visibility light and is best used for walking or scouting with it pointed at the ground to see where your walking. Then throw on your streamlight or nightstand. And? It works perfect. It was never designed to be your main source of light. It is a backup and a scouting light. Using the red? And walking at night with it pointed down? It's perfect. If your trying to sneak around your house or property due to suspicious noises? And you turn on your main light source to walk around? Well you just aluminized the entire house. This product does exactly what it is intended for perfectly. I will be buying more.

Cons:
- None.
Best Used for:
- Walking and scouting. Just enough light to see without lighting up your entire house or property.

Just a few tweaks would make it better
This is a great product which i have been looking for years. It provides good low light for running down halls without having to use your primary light. However, there is a few improvements which could be made; 1) though good for military (or someone who has NVG's), having the IR light as the primary light source is useless to most law enforcement and civilians, I would like to see an ability to reverse the lights to have the visible light as the primary, 2) The activation pad is small, I would consider making it larger or adding a switch to each side, 3) this light lacks a "momentary" switch/setting which I would like to see and finally, 4) offer a "civilian/law enforcement" model with a white light and some other visible light.
To that end, it is perfect when you need just enough light to see where you are going or when your primary weapons light fails.
