Much better than the stock grip that typically comes with an AR. Easy to install. Great texture. I liked this one so much I bought more for my sons' freedom gear. The bad reviews might be a one-off. If it's that bad then ask for a replacement which is likely going to solve the problem. But with other positive reviews, then I'd take the 1 star ratings with a grain of salt.
