Solid Upgrade for the Ruger Mini-14
I recently installed the ProMag Archangel Precision Rifle Stock on my Ruger Mini-14, and overall, it's a fantastic upgrade that significantly enhances the rifle's ergonomics and tactical look.
Pros:
-Improved Ergonomics: The adjustable cheek riser and length of pull allow for a customized fit. Great for getting a solid cheek weld, whether you're running optics or iron sights.
-Build Quality: The high-strength carbon fiber-filled polymer feels rugged and durable without adding excessive weight.
-Tactical Aesthetic: The Mini-14 receives a modern, precision rifle feel, offering a huge visual improvement over the traditional wood or synthetic stock.
-Accessory-Friendly: The integrated Picatinny rail, sling mounts, and well-designed pistol grip make it highly functional for modern shooting setups.
Cons:
-Installation: Not overly difficult, but it might require a bit of minor fitting for some Mini-14 or Mini-30 models, depending on production year. A little patience goes a long way.
-Price Point: Slightly more expensive than basic stocks, but you’re paying for the adjustability and features.
Bottom Line:
If you're looking to modernize your Ruger Mini-14 or Mini-30 and improve handling and comfort, this stock is a worthwhile investment.
It offers a great balance of function and form, just be prepared to take your time with installation to get the perfect fit.

6.8 spc farm and granddaughters training rifle.
Same as most on here I like the stock and the look is a good change compared with the original, but it has very tight tolerance issues in some areas but if you are handy and can figure how to take a little bit of the trigger area and magizne it fits in with no problem. I would rather it be tight than loose, you can slowly trim it out but you can't add to it, so just take your time and work it with some files and Dremel I left mine a little tight for a couple of reasons, I think when it warms up it will start to get better, if not you can still trim some more. I put probably 30 rounds through mine and it is very accurate, 100 yards and I have most touching each other and that is no scope.
Pros:
- Great adjustments in the stock and great looking.
Cons:
- Maybe for some people who have no skills to make the mags and trigger to fit
Best Used for:
- My farm rifle and my granddaughters training rifle.

Archangel Precision Stock on Mini-14
Installation of this stock was easy. There was an install video online from the manufacturer and I had no issue installing my 2005 mini-14 into the stock.

Too pricey for what you get, with no channel liner
First off I definitely got a lemon. I will say The stock itself is nice, feels comfortable and the adjustability is a bonus, definitely an improvement over the standard stock. Mine came with no channel liner for the action to run in, so I had to remove the one in my old stock. After trimming and getting a nice snug fit, everything seemed good, action ran smooth and gun had no issues. A few days later I took it out again and noticed quite a large bend in the stock at the grip. No idea why this randomly bent but its easily about an half inch off now. Attempted to fix it with a heat gun and a press, which got it close to straight again but the stock is still off. Needless to say I just put the action back in the origional stock and just glass bed it. Lastly as many have said, NO this is not a drop in fit. If you are expecting an accuracy increase you will always have to custom fit a stock to your specific action for the tightest fit. You will have to Dremmel and file this stock.
Pros:
- Adjustability and comfort and a custom fit
Cons:
- No channel liner, over priced, apparently temperature sensitive.
