I have a 870 Tactical (comes with a tube extension. The buttstock isn’t a problem at all. It’s the forend. The forend is too long and depending how much you tighten it it’ll either get stuck over the receiver when it’s in the open position or if you have it loosened like it says, it’ll stay in the open position because the forend will be blocked by the tube extension. Pro Mag tells you if that’s the problem then buy the Pro Mag tube extension. Only problem is that it’s discontinued. Then not only that the forend doesn’t fit the nut tool so you have to use something else to get it out which stripped my nut screws. If you want the buttstock go ahead and buy if seperate. If you’re looking for a forend, do yourself a favor and avoid this at all cost. Buy any other forend available. It’s completely unusable and once it’s on good luck trying to get it off without damaging and if the internal parts of the weapon. Very disappointed and pretty mad.
Cons:
- Too many to count (just forend)

Makes the 870 look really cool . The price and the material of the product is great. Best part is easy to install. Also the shot gun has a better feel and easier to handle. Definitely will recommend.

After about 24 slugs, the stock will no longer stay extended after firing. If you're someone like me who enjoys the length for aiming's sake, and don't wanna have to pull it back out after every shot, maybe find a better stock.
Pros:
- Looks cool, sturdy when it worked, nice storage compartment.
Cons:
- Extension doesn't hold position when firing.

Good price and does the job. Searched for something of decent value and price and found this. Very happy with purchase.
OpticsPlanet took a while to ship but expected during this time. Had some order issues and their customer service was very helpful - will order from here again.

Older (still has metal trigger gaurd) possiby 1977 by sn#. Stock wont mate with receiver, angle of stock bolt is wrong. Looks like a well made product. Disappointed I wont get to use. Maybe another 870 will come along needing some upgrades. For now, relegated to the parts bin.
Cons:
- wonnt fit on older 870.
- wont fit older 870
