I should have guessed that for $21 plus $7 shipping that the magazine wouldn't work. I was right. First, there is a gap at the heel of the gun where the magazine should fit flush. Second, you have to give it a good smack to get it to lock into place. Third, if you release with a full magazine you can feel it pulling against the magazine release in my $2000 gun. Fourth, IT WILL NOT LOCK SLIDE BACK ON LAST SHOT. I hate wasting money, I only thought they were leftover because the gun has been out of production for long.

These magazines do not work in a P7M8

by Hannibal, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on August 19, 2021
I experienced the following problems. 1) The gun does not feed with this magazine installed. You cannot even squeeze the cocker with the mag inserted. 2) The mag does not drop free when released. The release lever gets stuck and I thought I would damage the gun while removing it. I will refrain from using questionable language when describing my thoughts on these.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Many - They do not fit or function
Best Used for:
  • scrap metal

Caveat emptor

by Vee, from GA, United States Written on November 13, 2020
I bought these for my P7 PSP knowing they would have to be modified for the different magazine catch. It turned out that wasn't enough. The followers don't move smoothly or easily in the magazine housing. I had to both sand down the outside of the cheap, plastic followers, and replace the springs with ones from Wolff, as the stock springs are entirely too weak. I also had to bend one of the magazine's lips, as they would not retain cartridges. Genuine HK magazines are hard to find, and extremely expensive, so it can make sense to buy these. Just do so with the understanding that you will have to put in more time and money to make them work.
Pros:
  • Inexpensive
Cons:
  • Unreliable
  • Poorly made
