Most Helpful Positive Review Once you figure it out...
So I was that guy who didn’t figure this out right away, but the easiest way to install these is to remove the whole trigger pack. I tried, for about five minutes, to slide it in like the OEM bar but that clearly doesn’t work. Once I figured it out, it installed easily and works as expected.

Works great

Nice easy upgrade for your ruger 10 /22 rifle. Will definitely save wear and tear. My son in law told me about it. He also did this upgrade before he put a round through his 10 / 22. There's a nice u tube video showing just how to do it.

Great cheap upgrade for your 10/22

by AJ, from TN, United States Written on July 11, 2019
Nothing much to say, this is a chunk of urethane rod that you replace the takedown pin in the receiver with. It works, makes the operation quieter and lessens the little bit of recoil the 10/22 has. Just buy these, you get three for the price of one other brand.

most cost effective buffer out there. Outfitted 3 of my ruger 10/22 with these and in an effort to quiet things down in preparation for my .22 suppressor that Im waiting on. It definitely quiets the slap of the bolt a little bit.

Good Upgrade for 10/22

by Joe G, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on March 14, 2017
Can't beat the price for three of these buffers for the Ruger 10/22. I have seen a higher price for jsut one of these buffers, so this is a great deal. I have noticed a reduction in the clanking noise due to the factory metal pin that comes in the 10/22. I have these in all four of my 10/22s and would recommend these if you are considering buying them.

Pro-Mag Recoil Buffers

by Evidence8, Verified Owner from NE, United States Written on November 16, 2015
Shooting a .22 semi-auto-loader that has been modified for competition, one must consider all the options. One of those options is the fact that Sturm/Ruger thought to include a design factor that allows the recoil of this "light duty" rifle/weapon/tack-driver to have it's rather minor recoil buffered. Through months of personal testing I have found that this Pro-Mag model does the best job of that, on a consistent basis, through hundreds of rounds of varying muzzle velocities. I highly recommend them for ANYONE employing the Ruger Model 10/22 for any shooter's task. Results regarding the length of life cycle on these buffer pins may vary, but only slightly, and never catastrophically, between different loads, with almost no differences in accuracy, as long as you maintain vigilant observation between cleanings. Keep a few on hand!

Works as expected

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from WY, United States Written on March 10, 2012
The buffer works nicely and helps to reduce the metal to metal slap when the bolt recoils back. I also like that you get three of these for when they wear out. Hopefully not soon.
Pros: Great for protecting metal to metal contact on recoil.
Cons: Took a little bit to align the product into second hole and push it through.
