Pro Mag Ruger 10/22 Archangel Deluxe Target Stock
My stock arrived yesterday. It was very nicely packed with lots of peanuts. Not that the stock is fragile but seeing the care with which the item was packed is greatly appreciated. I promptly unpacked it and noticed how nice the stock looked. There were no unsightly mold seams or burs. The action an...

ProMag Ruger Target Stock
Great features, well constructed, but the modifications required to make things fit were disappointing.
Pros: Great features, solid construction.
Cons: Requires some modification with file and sandpaper to make the receiver fit the stock.
Archangel by promag for my 10/22 build !
I originally bought this as a temporary stock, because I was itching to get out and shoot it. The stock I wanted was $300 from Boyd’s , a beautiful wood stock ! But I love this archangel so much I might just keep it, as the poly stock is pretty much indestructible !

good stock
It’s a nice stock.
It did take a bit to finally wiggle the receiver into it, not a safety position issue, it was just tight. But once installed I quite like it,

adjustability
This stock is way advanced over Ruger stock.
Fit to Ruger barrel and receiver was perfect, finish of archangel stock was perfect, feel of archangel stock is way better than ruger wood stock, archangel adjustable stock is worth every dollar that I paid for the stock because I was able to adjust the archangel to fit my length of pull perfectly, which means way better target accuracy than the Ruger wood stock, the archangel stock has multiple sling attachment point’s which is a plus this allows you to to custom tune your sling carry options, archangel is the best Ruger stock I have owned( stocks that I have tried on my ruger 10/22, Oem stock, choate stock, butler creek stock) all these stocks cannot compete with the archangel stock, because of the fit finish and adjustability of archangel stock.

Solid Value
I ordered this stock based on excellent reviews. I don't have my barrel yet, but decided to do a mock up with the receiver and trigger group. Be sure to have your trigger attached to the receiver, the receiver alone is a loose fit. Even though I haven't got my barrel installed yet, I've been shooting for over 40 years and working on firearms for 25 years, based on experience; I can say that this stock is a solid value. I bought this stock to shoot from the bench. There are better options out there for a woods rifle. For anyone looking to build a budget precision rifle, I believe this stock would be an excellent choice.
The only con I have is, the take down bolt is not captured like it is in the factory 10/22 stock. I may buy a few extra washers to keep on hand or glue the washer in place. Everything has room for improvement. I test fit 2 different receivers in this stock, they both fit perfectly, no trimming or sanding is necessary, on mine.

Good Value
This stock is well made and well finished. No burrs or mold lines. The action and barrel slipped firmly into place; tight but not difficult to position. The instructions about the washer needed for the main screw could be a little clearer as well as the information on the optional barrel support. I already had the rifle assembled before I realized I needed to install the barrel support before assembly. I decided to store the support in the storage compartment in the stock handle. At the range the rifle shot fine without it, once I zeroed my red dot, so I'll leave it off for the time being.I was getting one inch groups at 15 yards. I had already done trigger work and a few upgrades before the stock arrived so I was ready to go. The new stock is a little heavier than the original, but the rifle is still quite light and easy to use and carry. As others have mentioned, the stock length of adjustment is tight but not impossible to manage. I use my 10/22 mostly for Steel Challenge, so we'll see how it goes next match. I looked at several stocks before purchasing this one. I wanted an upgrade but didn't feel justified spending $300 on a new stock for a $300 rifle. I won't say this is the best stock out there, but for the money it's a good value.
Pros:
- easy to install
- Inexpensive but well built
- Good finish and construction
Cons:
- better instructions

Archangel stock
The stock fit great with no problems and accepts the tri-mag without any adjustments. I like the ambidextrous fit. There are times when I need to shoot left handed. I really liked the pistol grip stock and it is built strong!

Great value option
We used this on a new Ruger 10/22 that simply felt off with a scope. The stock fit well with no extra work. I did clean up some of the mold flash but only because I am picky. The stock has sling mounts installed, however the fore grip area is flat, so fit with a stud mount bipod is not perfect. Butt pad adjustment is stiff, but it will certainly not move on you. Overall fit for me and my son was pretty good, much better that the original wood stock which feels different than the one from my youth. Opticsplanet shipped it fast and it was very well packaged.
Pros:
- Price
- Fit

Great upgrade to a 10/22
Wanted something a little more ergonomic than the factory boat paddle stock but. It wanting to be too tacticool or ar looking. This is perfect and the length of pull adjustment is nice still waiting for the virus to clear to take it shooting. But it’s a good looking and ergonomic upgrade for sure.
