Most Helpful Positive Review Very pleased
This is just what I was looking for. It is very solid and only 28 oz. It looks much cooler with a mag and optics. No barrel band bothers some but the very "little" wiggle I had, did not turn me away. If there was anything wrong with this stock I would not hesitate to mention it, but I am very please...

Most Helpful Negative Review No takedown screw
I have now received two stocks and both of them didn't come with a takedown screw. I can't review the item because I can install it. I reached out to ProMag and they don't sell the screw. They told me to return it and get another but the new one didn't come with it either.

Exactly what I wanted. Good product

by D, Verified Owner from KY, United States Written on April 3, 2026
I wanted to run a 3 power Vulcan prism on it so needed the stock to fold so it would fit in a largish backpack. The break down 10 22s require mounting on the barrel section ot you lose zero. I also needed my eye close to the optic. I got a 16.4" barrel and coupled it with this mount and the optic runs great. I can rapidly plink a 22 dueling tree at 25 yards. I highly recommend the stock. It did come with the bolt. I has put 20 lb of torque on it the first time and the stock bolt was pretty loose when I went to break it down for cleaning after 700ish rounds. I put it on at 20 lbs again but it seems like it took more turns this time. Still, it did not come out and rounds were on target the entire time. It is a fun setup.

No Takedown Screw

by Mikey Two Times, Verified Owner from MD, United States Written on August 3, 2024
I ordered this stock for another gun and it has the screw and then I ordered again and it’s missing the screw. I had to cut down my stock to get the metal that holds the takedown screw on an original polymer Ruger stock and drill a hole in the bottom of the pro mag stock so it could fit the metal holder snug to fit the takedown screw to give me the width I needed. Pro Mags Quality Department cant be the smartest if the package only has two items and they forget to put the screw the only other item for the stock.
Pros:
  • Great stock
Cons:
  • no takedown screw included
Best Used for:
  • miscellaneous activities

Great, inexpensive Ruger stock

by Kurt Vogel, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on June 30, 2024
Can't believe how well this stock fits my 10/22. I thought for the price it might be a little sloppy, but my receiver went into it like it was machined, not molded. Fits like it's bedded, and the barrel is floated nicely. Very comfortable hold with the stock extended as well.
I am beyond pleasantly surprised by how well this turned out to be.
Note: Slight negative for me were the little pic rail mounting points up at them --- the side mounts can be taken off, but they leave ugly mounting blocks underneath. I decided just to leave them on and ignore them since the rest of it is just wast I wanted.
Pros:
  • 10/22 receiver fits snugly and securely. Very stable platform
Cons:
  • Pic rails up front are ugly
Best Used for:
  • Plinking, truck gun

Still No Takedown Screw

by ilikescopesdude, Verified Owner from LA, United States Written on April 7, 2024
Comments have been saying the boxes are missing a takedown screw for over a year. I figured the issue was resolved and ordered the promag folding stock. You guessed it, still no takedown screw.
Thanks
Promag or Optics Planet should have fixed this long ago or at least stopped selling it until the issue was resolved.

*takedown screw from original stock does not work correctly when using this stock.
