First impressions
This is the 3rd stock I've tried for my bull barrel 10/22, the first two I sent back because of very poor fitment, on one the barrel was touching on one side of the barrel channel, on the other the receiver would rock (for & aft) in the stock.
The ProMag Archangel (AAP1022OD) fit like the proverbial glove.
The gun I put this on is a pretty accurate 10/22, (@ 50 yards I've been able to break 8 aspirins with 10 shots), so how the stock affects that is important to me, I'll post an update after I've had a chance to get to the range.
Almost perfect
Love it. The adustable LOP and cheek riser make it super easy to get consistent placement for your eye relief.. and since I'm using an LPVO.. eye relief is very constrained, so this is a delight. The fit is VERY tight. It took me longer than expected to actually get the firearm assembled due to the tightness of fit, however this is nice because there is, not only no slop in the fitment, but also there probably never will be because it's so tight. The palm swells are perfect for my XL-glove hand, YMMV. There's also tons of room for your bull-barrel or other, quieter barrel, if that's your plan, but just know that the OEM 10/22 barrel will look like a pencil in there with gap the whole way around. Not a big deal, but aesthetically, could not be to your eye.
The only thing this chassis system lacks that I can compain about is forward mounting options, I.E. there is only the 6 o'clock pic rail on the bottom. If there was some M-Lok on the 3 & 9 of the forend to add any number of small accessories, like a light, for no reason other than why not, I think it would be perfect. Also, there is plenty of room on that 6 o'oclock rail to have 2 or 3 more notches forward of the sling swivel, however there is not, so if you plan on putting a bipod on here, and you get a magpul one, unless you only run it with 1 crossbolt or make a new notch, you have to run it behind the sling swivel, which is further back than I would prefer.
Overall, buy it.. there's pretty much no way you will be actua...

Awesome stock
When I got this stock it was delivered to my office at work. I had to open the box and look at it. A few of my employees seen it and said awesome which gun is that for. They thought it was going to be a big bore. When I told them my Ruger 10/22 they thought it was too cool of a stock for a little 22. I bought it for my recent barrel purchase. I haven't received the flip up sights, or the vortex scope yet, but I can say I would recommend this stock for anyone looking too supe up their Ruger. I love the fell when I bring it up. I can't wait for the other accessories to get here.
Pros:
- It is more comfortable than the plain factory stock.
Cons:
- none so far

Nice for the Price
The adjustables on the stock are nice, but rattle a little. The grip is solid. Easy install. Good price. Matched it with a sub $200 1022 and a Monatrum FFP. Stock trigger, barrel, and recover for now. Cheap and deep.
Pros:
- Price and install ease
Cons:
- rattle a little
Best Used for:
- plinking

like a glove
Fits like a glove. Stock has a good weight to it for a synthetic stock. Receiver fits tightly. The adjustments fo thr length of pull and the cheel well are a bit tight and might need some working in.

fits like a glove
Stock has good weight for a synthetic stock. Rifle mounts easily and fits tightly. Very sturdy. One observation is the cheek well and length of pull adjustment controls are very tight and will need some breaking in.

Meatier than I expected
Not flimsy at all. Solid product. Will need some mild fitting, but nothing too much. I was really impressed on how solid the structure is on this stock. It comes with QD attachment slots, but also standard sling screws if so desired. The front lower railing is really solid as well, will work great for a bipod, or whatever you might want there. I haven't had any problems with magazine attachments or adjusting the cheek weld or rear butt-pad. All around great purchase.
Pros:
- Quality
- fitting
- Feel & weight
- Structure
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- anything range or otherwise

Only a few issues
This stock is well constructed, no doubt there. You do need to dremel a bit to get the tightest, truest fit for a standard 10/22 reciever, I also found not all bipods will attach due to the rail cuts not being uniform the entire length under the front portion. I also find the bolt catch takes getting used to trying to manipulate due to the extra space around the trigger housing opening. But I'm still enjoying it and it seems like it should last a good long while

Easily modified for aftermarket trigger/receiver, rear tang, .920 barrel
Pros: Adjustable cheek riser and buttstock, QD points for sling, foregrip picatinny, enough “meat” behind receiver to enable rear tang inletting and screw post. Only minor material removal required just ahead of receiver to fully free float .920 barrel. Stock is easily modified with Dremel Tool and a file, just take it slow and easy.
Cons: Magazine area way too tight requiring significant material removal.

Outstanding stock
This is my go to stock when I am building a rifle. It is easy to fit the rifle to the person... which is hardly ever done. The adjustability features are just awesome! It does not matter if using open sights or a scope, you can dial the check weld height into exactly the right spot for anyone. The only issue with these stocks is that the magazine well will probably need some work with a Dremel tool to allow the Ruger 10 round magazines to drop free via gravity. I have had to do this every time. It is not a big deal.

ProMag AAP1022OD Archangel 10/22 Polymer OD Green
I've been using this stock on my 10/22 for over a year now and let me tell you.... this is the best stock for accurate long range shooting. The stock fits on like a glove, no mods needed. I love the stock adjustments which is contour for my face. The grip is very comfortable and I can shoot for hours without getting tired of holding this stock. Looks even better with the entire rifle installed in it.
I would definitely recommend this product.
