Good quality but really hard to fit - ProMag Archangel Yugo Pap AK-Series OPFOR Forend Set

I’ve been sanding for two days trying to get this thing to fit right. The polymer is high quality and looks great, but I just can’t get both pieces on at the same time to save my life. The gas tube won’t sit right with both pieces. I can get the forend on, but then the gas tube won’t lock into place right. For the upper part on the gas tube, for some reason it won’t fit unless I put that little leaf spring thing in there (from original, not included). Right now I have my original wood on bottom with the polymer on the gas tube, which is OK because I really only needed to replace that top part. My real complaint is that with the forend (lower hand guard) installed I can’t get my cleaning rod back in. The cleaning rod isn’t a huge deal but it’s just not a classic AK profile without it! Overall, I will keep working on it and am just disappointed that I’ve spent the better part of 6-7 hours sanding/testing, and I have probably come close to breaking/bending parts of my gun by trying to force it.
