Doc Brown's Review of ProMag Savage Model 64 Tactical Folding Stock

FYI ; In order to get the stock to fit properly, it was imperative I use a DREMEL ball bit to fit the stock flush and proper fit. FYI ; there were no instructions on “ how to install “ , there is a man on YouTube that explains. In order to get the assembly fitted properly you will need to remove the pistol grip. Open the bottom of the grip storage door , take a hex #6 metric or equal American Allen wrench & remove. Then grind out the very back where the rear tapered section of the metal bolt fits into the stock. Be careful not to go to deep. Then it WILL GO TOGETHER PROPERLY. Probably a flaw in the construction mold.
Pros:
  • Very light; stock snaps and stays in place.
  • Folding stock snaps into place easy and stays put. It is light , sturdy, and inexpensive compared with other stocks.
Cons:
  • You will need to use a DREMEL to get proper fit. It is imperative to grind out a small amount of plastic to get a proper fit
Best Used for:
  • I use a small Japanese MINI truck off road and wanted a shorter stock.
