Most Helpful Positive Review Compact & Light Weight
When looking at thermal equipment there isn't one on the market with the compact size, image clarity and detection range found in the Axion. Light weight and compact, the Axion will easily fit in any coat pocket or even loose fitting jean pockets. Overall the Axion performs great and will meet the...

Most Helpful Negative Review OK not great
Aside from having a quick guide there were no instructions, so its up to you to figure out what the symbols mean or do. It does not work/locate in prairie grass or timber/brushy areas, and forget about it working through your vehicles glass. The battery charge port is hard to hook up and no meter ...

Darknessvu

I bought this for my husband for Christmas and wish I would have done more research. I read that it had a camera and video but as you research farther they tell you that certain models of this model do. It was my fault that I didn’t check it out further, but for the price I guess I made some assumptions. It works fine for what it is and we have used it a few times. If you don’t care about the pictures than I would recommend it.
Pros:
  • Lightweight
Cons:
  • No camera
Best Used for:
  • Looking for wildlife in the darkness

Very happy with purchase

by Justin, from AL, United States Written on September 17, 2021
Haven’t used it hunting yet but the resolution quality seems to be really good. It picks up all things in the background with high quality. Can’t wait to get in the woods with this thing. Battery seems to hold a decent charge as well. Just learning how to use and getting ready for hog hunting

Great product

Beat expectations. Amazed at the resolution even at long distances. I “relocated” a pig the other night thanks to the thermal. It also is ready to use in just a few seconds. Battery life exceeded expectations also.

Axion Key XM30 is PERFECT for those looking to get into thermal imaging

by KGW, from MI, United States Written on February 24, 2020
I purchased the Axion Key XM30 back in Spring 2019. I have had some time in the field using it and it has advanced my hunting towards Coyotes in Michigan. I have no problem ID'ing a coyote over 400 yards with it. The detection is even further and can see a heat signature over 800 yards. The base mag of 2.5 is everything we need here in Michigan for those close encounters. I consistently adjust between the different options of pallets to fit what looks best in the changing climates. I would HIGHLY suggest this product to ANYONE who is looking for a great thermal imaging advancement.
Pros:
  • Price
  • Size & Weight
Cons:
  • none I experienced
Best Used for:
  • All hunting environments

Axion key 30

by Packman, from VA, United States Written on December 1, 2019
I found it easy to use ,the field of view was more than I had hoped for,I liked the red heat signature of the different color options. The hand strap is alright but I prefer to have a lanyard around my neck,so that I can tuck it in up to my chest. The only reason why I didn't give it a five star was the position of the power on button (should be by the index finger, not the pinky)

Pulsar Axion Key XM30

by Kestas69, from GA, United States Written on December 1, 2019
Very impressive unit on the field. For using in GA woods would like magnification to start at lower number for better field of view at closer distances. Charging light on the unit is always green while charging. Hard to indicate if it’s fully charged or not. Need to turn the unit on and look at the battery icon on the screen. Will be buying another one for a friend.
