Just Amazing
I took this on a hog hunt for the first time a few weeks ago. All I can say is WOW. This thing is amazing. I went with the XP38 over the XP50 due to the lower base magnification and mostly close range shooting I do when night hunting. I really like this unit and once you figure out what all the buttons do it makes things that much better. Very happy with my purchase just wish I had more time to use it. I took a little leap of faith with this purchase as the videos on Youtube were lower quality than others in this space but everywhere I read the said the user experience was much better th...

Love This Thermal!
I purchased the Trail XP 38 at the beginning of the year and must say, I couldn’t be happier with this optic! I went with the XP 38 over the XP 50 because I wanted a wider field of view at base magnification. Personal choice really but I am happy that I did it. I’m able to see more of the area I’m glassing and acquire targets faster on follow-up shots. The Picture In Picture feature is awesome and allows the shooter to have a much tighter sight picture while still staying zoomed out on the main sight picture at the same time. Getting everything dialed in on the range was quick and easy with the one shot zero feature. There are numerous reticle options to choose from and the buttons on the top of the device are easily found and to familiarize with even in gloved hands. The battery life is really good. I’ve been running the battery that came with it and have been getting a solid 8 hours of intermittent use (I’m turning it off between stalks and stands set ups). The picture is crisp in the viewfinder and the photos and videos have been clear as well. The XP line is a little more expensive but after running several different models, the XP line has my vote!
Pros:
- Clear Picture, loaded with features, great battery life,
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- hunting

Sent it back for a refund....
At first this worked very well but in three weeks I started noticing washout in the image. Customer Support said I just need to perform a NUC and it will be good again. That made no difference. Thank god I was able to get a refund.

Hog hunting game changer
Very dependable and very good picture. Many hogs have died as a result. Good battery life and a multitude of options regarding zoom picture in picture and reticles. Tough case and good lens cover to protect optics

Awesome thermal
Bought this for night hunting coyotes and it works perfectly for my hunting needs. Thermal has come a long ways now being more affordable and top detection and image quality. I will be looking to purchase a helion next

Great product!
The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it was shipped with a European charger and it was a pain trying to get an American charger. The thermal is awesome. It works great and is super clear. It so easy to sight in that I only used 5 bullets, 3 of which where to make sure my group on.
Pros:
- Super clear images
Cons:
- limited range
Would recommend: Yes

What a difference
After purchasing various night vison scopes, (ATN X-sight 1 & 2, Pulsar N550) I made the jump to Thermal.
I checked the reviews between the various manufacturers. I decided that the Pulsar fit the bill better than ATN or Armasight. (ATN's customer service leaves a lot to be desired..)
I purchased the XP instead of the XQ for the clearer image. Plus I figured that as long as I was spending that amount money I may as well buy the better one.
Like most Pulsar products, the instructions included were not the greatest, but the internet is a wonderful thing for getting instructions from actual users.
The image quality is great and once I figured out the "FREEZE" function, zeroing was a easy.
The included mount that attaches to the scope is not real stable. I have since purchased a new mount that makes changing between guns easy. The gun holds zero great.
As far as zeroing, I used dry chemical hand warmers. (Hot Hands)
