Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Pro 2.5-20x Thermal Monocular
I upgraded from the Helion 2 to the PRO recently. For me it was worthwhile to upgrade since I post hunting videos on the internet. The PRO video comes out of the device at 720p rather than 480p on the standard Helion 2. The video from the pro also has more contrast and brightness. It is much easier to make out the background with the newer device. That being said, the pro will not get you more pigs or coyotes than the standard Helion 2 so I would not upgrade if you use the device purely for spotting. Fortunately, these devices do hold value better than most so upgrading is not inordinately pai...

This Pulsar thermal monocular is the best I have ever used. Great long range capabilities if needed. You can’t go wrong and worth every Penny The accuracy and clarity are outstanding. It is a game changer and will save you time. The ease of use is quite impressive.

I relied a great deal on the reviews that were posted before mine and spent about a week looking at different scopes and comparing them online. The reviews that are posted here are entirely accurate and my experiences have been exactly the same as the people posting. PROS: The image quality is absolutely unbelievable. I own several thermal devices, including a rifle scope. None of my devices come close to this monocular in regards to image quality. The controls do take some getting used to, but they are manageable with a little practice. Connection to a smart phone is via Wi-Fi, and I had no issues whatsoever establishing a connection and transferring data, and I was able to control and remotely view the scope easily. The menu is intuitive and the learning curve for this device is short. A 1/4 inch socket is built into the body, making it ideal for use with a tripod or stabilizer. CONS: it comes with one battery; it would be ideal if two were supplied because the charging time is considerable, at least several hours. Taking a photograph as opposed to a video (which is by default) is not intuitive. The hand strap is situated directly above the battery, which makes changing the battery slightly clumsy. There is absolutely no internal stabilization of any kind which makes viewing at 20 X magnification challenging. BOTTOM LINE: this scope is completely worth the purchase price. Its sensitivity, clarity, and image quality might very well be the best available to consumers at the c...
