Most Helpful Positive Review Best overall quality image
I use these scopes everyday and am still impress with the ease of use, clean UI with a very intuitive design, amazing clear image and ability to quickly tweak brightness and contrast on the fly depending on the environment which is a must for thermal hunting. There is no lag for quick scanning which is awesome for taking out sounders and the picture in picture feature makes hunting hogs even easier. Take shot, pick next, take shot. Shooting a hog running full speed is not an easy task and many digital units cheaper than 8,000 don't do well with quick movements, have a jumpy image, sway, or gli...

Great Value

by buddy, from TX, United States Written on December 9, 2018
Purchase for my 308 pig gun. Great battery life, clear picture. Can’t beat it for the price. Ok this needs to be 200 words, also used it to find my wife’s downed deer. Or also living on a ranch check and see if any cows are calving in dark without disturbing them.
Pros:
  • value and price
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Hunting 10yd - 300yds

excellent resolution

by Ed, from GA, United States Written on September 26, 2018
I've been using digital night vision for years and this is a great step up. I have an older Flir handheld thermal unit and I've been shocked at the increase in resolution. Only downside is the controls are pretty busy. I think they could make it easier to use.
Pros:
  • Outstanding Clarity
Cons:
  • busy controls
Best Used for:
  • hunting

Pulsar thermal scope

by andrew, from AL, United States Written on July 28, 2018
Great scope. I have used it for 2 weeks and it works perfectly. The mounts are average, the battery system is top notch, and the controls are easy to use. Highly recommend this brand. The stream video system works well. The video quality is half as good as what you see while looking through the scope. Overall a well thought out product and at this price point i do not think any other scope matches it.
Pros:
  • Easy to operate
Cons:
  • Video recording is mediocre
Best Used for:
  • Game identification

Xq50 is off the chain

by Onehotvette, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on March 30, 2018
Can’t beat the scope for the price & the detail through it is better than the videos you see-which is also awesome streaming on the phone! Can’t believe I waited so long to pull the trigger on it! Pulsar still has a few kinks to work out with Stream Vision APP & iPhones but overall still great!

Great performance for the money.

by Tim Carleton, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on January 22, 2018
After tons of research and finally rolling the dice, this XQ50 just performs great. Power for power among pulsar thermals, only the XP50 has better resolution and not by much. The 2.7 native mag is great for the open pastures and longer range shots. If your plots were smaller and felt the need for more FOV then the XQ38 would fit the bill. Pulsar just came out with Version 3 firmware that finally enabled the sound and has other enhancements. The battery life is great. The only negative is the long scope mount. If Pulsar had a 640 unit with a 2.7 base magnification, I would have gone that way. As is, I'm really pleased with this scope.
Pros:
  • user interface, battery life, excellent display, native zoom.
Cons:
  • Mount-too long. wifi range could be better.
