Michael's Review of Radian Weapons Ramjet-Afterburner Glock Pistol Compensator

This is my 3rd Ramjet/Afterburner I've purchased. Let's get something out of the way. Does it cost a lot? Yes and no. A threaded barrel and comp will still cost the average person $250-$300. Not all comps time well with all threaded barrels so there's some trial and error there. Any micro comp (Agency Sage comp and PMM Micro comp) are either the same price or more expensive, around that $400 price mark. So it's well within the same price range as other similar products on the market.

Does it reduce recoil? Yes it does. You'll only feel a difference when shooting drills working on your split times or are testing 115 range ammo from 124 NATO , +p or +p+. You won't see a big difference if you go to Fudd ranges of 1 shot per second, no rapid fire, and aren't utilizing what it's designed for. Faster follow up shots from reduced recoil.

It's well designed and looks aesthetically pleasing. The design is well thought out. One thing I'd like to mention is the "tear drop" barrel design is no longer used. I have 2 models. A generation 1 which automatically times due to the tear drop barrel and one that's not and the comp spins freely. Radian states they change the design due to people getting carbon lock. I think it's BS as I've shot 1,500 rounds without cleaning and haven't experienced carbon lock. They did this to save money. Hands down, it costs less to machine a round barrel and comp rather than a tear drop shaped barrel. The 2nd generation still works but I personally feel like it's the inferior model. Without said I still purchased another of the new design because I do like it so much.

Again $1,200 in Ramjets and I'll probably buy another. It's that good to me. Plus it fit my G17 holsters and doesn't require a G34 holster like almost any other comp on the market. Buy once, cry once. This product is quality.
