great non-bulky ear safety
The plugs are made of a gel-like rubber/plastic that is very comfortable when in the ear. I love the way it drowns out loud bangs and noises (like from an AR or chainsaw) but still gives you the ability to hear ppl and sounds at a regular decibel level. I gave a pair of these to a friend who had no ear protection and we went to the firing range. He thought they wouldn't work because he put them on and could still hear me in my normal conversation volume. Radians Rad Band is almost good
The radians rad band earplugs is not quite a good product. All the features are there but they do not add up to a good product. They are not bad, but not good either. The soft ear plug material is comfortable but do not offer enough hearing protection for extended shooting sessions. The plastic band is too short to be practical or comfortable. It might work well if you are a small framed person or a kid.
