Legacy Reviewer's Review of Radians Snug Plugs

I bought a pair of these last year and was pleasantly surprised by them. Sound blocking and comfort are the most important factors of hearing protection and these will satisfy both just fine. They're not quite as nice as a tight-fitting pair of headphones, but if you get them tight in your ear canal you shouldn't have any problems. Once they're in, they're much more comfortable than harder material plugs (like the airsoft howard leights), though most hearing protection devices start to annoy after a long while, at least for me. For just a few dollars, it's hard to go wrong with these radians, I'm buying a second pair soon because my first pair is starting to tear a little bit but because they're so cheap, im not offended that I only got a year out of them. My only gripe with these (ultimately what lead me to try the howard leights)is that they're not super easy to get into your ear all the way. They're very soft, and the plug stems with or without the shoelace style cord in them, are too flimsy to aid you in pushing the plug into your ear. If yours start to tear like mine did, it'll no doubt be where the stem meets the plug. I would advise against using them without the stem as you may have a lot of trouble removing the plug once u get it in your ear. Even with this issue though, I'd rather fight with these for an extra 10 seconds than insert something more uncomfortable into my ear. Comfort while shooting is important and unlike most plugs, these ones won't leave your ears aching the moment you put them in.
Pros: comfortable, fits in pocket, blocks out plenty of sound, doesn't get in the way of firing
Cons: easy to lose, not super durable, takes a little time to get them in right
