CarolinaBoy's Review of Radical Firearms 16 in. 12.7x42 (.936) Upper Assembly
When it came in i was excited to test it out. I put it on my lower and filled the supplied magazine up. I went outside and chambered a round which didn't sound right. I looked and sure enough the bolt didn't close all the way. I dropped the mag and tried pulling the charging handle back to clear it but it was stuck. I used the forward assist to close the bolt and fired that round. I opened the bolt and reinserted the mag with a good tap on the bottom to make double sure it seated. Hit the bolt release and yet again bolt didnt close. Forward assist again. I left the mag in this time to see of it would cycle or hang up. Fired that round. Brass fell at my feet. Bolt half closed. Light strike on the primer. I had to drop the mag break it down manually set the hammer and fire that round because yet again. Charging handle/bcg was stuck. Re assembled I worked the charginh handle a few times letting the bolt close without any rounds in the chamber. It smmothed out a little so I put the may back in. Pulled the charging handle back and let it go. Hot dog it chambered and bolt closed. I took aim and squeezed the trigger to get a bang and a jam. Brass didnt eject and the next 2 rounds were trying to fight to see who could chamber first. So back to breaking it down and clearing this mess once again. I reset and tried again. This time the brass fell at me feet but I had double feed again. This all continued until the magazine was empty and I was so irritated I came back inside to rethink why I spent money on this upper. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I'm guessing it cant be returned so I have to figure out some way to make this thing reliable enough to hunt with.
