As a follow up to the first review, because the bow was shot and used for 15 minutes opticsplanet will not accept my return. I’ve spent 3 days on hold trying to get ahold of Ravin after 4 calls and waiting over 45 minutes each time I finally got through. The said take to a dealer which is over 45 minutes from my house and they won’t accept a return either. So now I’m stuck with a piece of junk and won’t have a crossbow for season do not buy a Ravin bow and do not buy it from opticsplanet

Dont waste your money!!!!!

Bought a R26 last year. I thought it was a great cross bow. Put it away at the end of the season. When I opened the case to get ready for this bow season the string had snaped when it was in the case.. I shot it last year about 20-25 times. I paid over 2k for this crossbow.. No way that should happen!!! I took it to the local dealer, and they told me that they had 3 of them waiting for new strings. Very common issue with ravin crossbows. Also told me that they had 26 crossbows last year that they had to fix. They make the strings way to thin for the power behind these crossbows. He told me that I needed to replace the strings every year... Don't waste your money on a ravin cross bow.

Limb cracked

First day shooting it the limb cracked on the 5th shot with my 9 year old son shooting. I will be returning immediately. Loved the size but will not be getting another. Only made one small creaking sound glad it didn’t blow up.
