If your going to hunt and spend lots of time in the field...there is no other choice you need to make on which crossbow has it all....compact ..speed...light...did i say speed..crazy.......penetration unreal..very nice to carry and shoulder..biggest thing is which one to buy....R9,15 or wait for new 10and 20 coming out...im not sure if a few fps will really make me spend another 500 bucks....so i went r9...love it....new one have updated with level on slide ...scope leveler..new safety switch....and of course little more speed...just cant see spending another $1,000 for an extra 30fps...r9 is perfect....

Ravin R9 Predator
I have never owned a crossbow before, I've been waiting on something extraordinary before converting from my vertical bow. This is it! A combination of unbelievable speed and accuracy. I especially like the hand crank giving the flexibility of loading in the stand and unloading without firing a bolt. The illuminated scope is also very nice, especially if hunting in a blind. I have shot out to 50 yards and have no problem obtaining 3 inch groups.
