Purchased sunglasses online from RayBan.com. Wore the glasses 3 or 4 times before realizing there was small chip in one lens. Within a day or two the chip turned into a crack. Tried to contact customer service, was bounced back and forth from NY (where glasses are actually purchased) to Ga (where the warranty/repair center is located). After 4 phone calls was instructed to write letter, package up & send glasses to Ga. for evaluation. Waited several weeks before finally emailing to check status of glasses. Warranty dept. determined that I was at fault and would have to pay additional $56 dollars for new lens and processing fee.
Tried at this point to return glasses because as a older, adult eyeglass wearer, I had not misused/abused the $300 glasses in the 3 or 4 times of normal use. Finally spoke to representative in NY who told me that glasses could not be returned because past the warranty period.
Bottom line: In twenty years of wearing glasses, have never had this much difficulty, or expense, with a pair of glasses.
Even though RayBan phone ad states they take, "quality seriously," beware!

These are a great pair of sunglasses. Quality lenses, and best I can tell, a sturdy build too.

The only (minor) complaint I have is that the nose pads rattle when removing the sunglasses from the case. However, the rattling disappears when they are worn, so this is really just more of a personal annoyance since it doesn't detract from the product in any significant way.
