Rayban Aviator good Rx glasses but.....

I've had aviators before and like the timeless style, However this round I needed to order Rx lenses. The order process was easy and the delivery was timely. However upon receiving the glasses I notices the Rayban signature logo was not on the lenses like it is on stock off the shelf Raybans. Upon doing some research there are only a few companies that offer the Rayban "branded" Rx lenses. The frames I received are authentic and have the Rayban inscription, but again the lenses do not making them appear to be a cheaper knock off set. I wish I would have known this before ordering so I could have ordered through a dealer that does offer the branded lenses. Other than this issue the quality and timeliness of the ordering process was great.

Product came out perfect, just as I ordered. Worth the 3 week wait. Very classy and elegant looking glasess. Wish they came in a better clamshell case. I have ordered from OpticsPlanet.com several times and they are usually very dependable and their prices are better than framesdirect.com

Our local opticians can't even get Ray Bans anymore, but Optics Planet had them at a better price than (to me) no name brands locally. The variety of styles were all there, and the prescription quality is perfect. I'll be buying again in the future.

The overall shades are good. But Lenses are bulky and didnt receive Rayban lenses as separate, this was con.

Silver 58mm aviators with mirrored lenses

I noticed right away that the prescription lenses only kept their definition in the center, toward the bottom of the lenses. I eventually got used to this, but there is next to no side protection with these frames, which makes them almost useless while driving with the sun directly toward the side of the car.
Pros: blocks the light and keeps things super sharp
Cons: Image is only clear in center of lens, no protection on sides

Perscription Ray Ban Aviators

I ordered a pair of persription Ray Ban Aviators for my 16 year old son. He loves them and the perscription is right on.
Pros: Delivered very quick
Cons: Asked for a duplicated detailed receipt by email so I can submit for insurance. Still have not recieved it.

Timeless Style

My love of timeless fashion once again brings me back to the Ray-Ban Aviator. OpticsPlanet is where I found the highest reviews and best prices for quality lenses and frames. OP's online order form, for prescription lenses, was not complicated and matched the information given to me by my optometrist. The finished product was as I had hoped and delivery was faster than expected. I will continue to shop OpticsPlanet for my eyeglass needs.
