Too deep for short brass like 9mm, makes it hard to hold the brass. Works much better on longer brass. The old style had a more shallow depth but did not cut as well. I would recommend it for longer brass but not for 9mm. The old style made it easy to hold the brass in alignment for even removal of material, the new style is a little more difficult.

I did receive a great RCBS carbide chamfer tool, just not the one depicted.
What I received was the latest version of the RCBS tool instead.
Works great, just not what I thought I was going to receive.
