Good quality but would like an enhancement
I like the quality. However, I am used to a traditional bore snake that has cloth before the wire brush as well as after. The lack of cloth before the wire brush makes it to where you can’t put any solvent into the bore before the brush.

Hard on the hand
Instead of a rope to pull through, this uses a plastic cord. At least on my shotguns, pulling it through the barrel hurt. OP wants more words here but I’ve stated my case. Can I submit now? No? Okay, I’ll keep going. I have a bunch of Real Avid tools and I’m a fan otherwise.
way better than screwing together little rods
These are the way to go for a quick clean, and they pack well in my range bag. I have 2, one in 12ga and one for .223 the case doubles as a nice pull handle too!

Not bad at all
I like it. Nice case/pull handle. Plenty of surface area to clean the barrel. It looks like the majority of the attachment points aren't crimped, so I'd imagine this will hold up for a while...but we'll see!

review of real avid bore boss smart bore cleaner
It wasnt very intuitive at first but once i figured it out it does makes pulling the bore snake through easier. Essesntially the red circle housing housing becomes the handle. It also provides storage. Soft rubber.

Works well, easy to store away, and convenient in range bag. The price was right. I use their .223/5.56 version as well, very nice. If you're new to bore snakes like I was, this will likely meet if not exceed your expectations.

Excellent product
I have bought and used eight of these I love them. Bought4 for myself and 2 each for my kids. The 9mm, 5.56, the 6.5 Grendel and the .270 for myself. Easy to use ans compact for storage, light weight can carry any where. Deploys in seconds and use is just as fast!!!!!

Real Avid .223 Cleaner
Finally there's a snake bore cleaner tool that is compact and easy to use. No more are the days of clumpy snakes stored in ziplock bag after each use. RA has made an integrated case, handle, and snake all in one. The outer cover is soft rubber that is turned inside out to uncover the case and snake. The snake just uncurls out of the case and then the lead weight is then led thru your barrel. Once thru, attach weight to notch in the case which then becomes a handle to allow the snake to be pulled thru your barrel effortlessly. Once done, just curl snake back up inside the case then turn rubber cover back over and you have original package again. The product is well made and very intuitive to use. The best part is being able to store the snake inside the case itself. Great compact tool!
