Most Helpful Negative Review
update to my last review of this product
Since writing my last review I was directed to a Real Avid employee named Dustin. He went over and above the call of duty to help find a solution to getting this tool to work with my old model Ruger 77 bolt action with a Leupold VX 2 2-7X33mm in medium height rings. We found that if the flashlight was left off the tool the rifle leveling device would then function properly to level the rifle. The light just laid loose in the tool so it would still shine light on the leveling grid that is set up behind the rifle. Real Avid also gave me a store credit equal to what I paid for the Level Right Pro...

Why Wait Any Longer?
If you're anything like most of us out there trying different time-consuming ways of making certain our scopes are level with our gun, this product will exceed your expectations with 1) accuracy, and 2) time spent making those fine adjustments. This thing is in no uncertain terms "amazing!" If you have ten minutes, you have just about all the time you'll need in seeing that your scope is right on the money. Simple setup, quick, and accurate. Wish I hadn't waited so long to buy one. Highly recommend.
Pros:
- Accurate
- Fast setup
Cons:
- none I experienced
Best Used for:
- long guns

Almost usable..
Although this was a good idea and a somewhat different approach to scope leveling it is sabotaged by the use of it's own cheap plastic parts. I could not get it to work for me because the parts wouldn't squarely align.
Pros:
- none for me
Cons:
- Cheap plastic parts
Best Used for:
- Returns
Would recommend: No
Limited use product - buyer beware
Poorly designed and tested. Works on only a small percentage of rifles. If the objective is large or small, the light will not shine down the tube, and the light will not slide up or down from the bell cradle. Both plastic levels on the mount and on the target are plastic tubes and do not seem to hold zero when compared to a rail mounted glass vial and digital level gauge. Having said that, the design is such where the accuracy of the bubbles may not be the critical factor as it is more designed to align the barrel with the scope. But, as it doesn't sit properly, you'll have to zero the rifle, take the level off, hold the flashlight by hand, and try to work with the scope while not turning the rifle. So, the rifle has to be perfectly clamped down, or the scope so loose that it will move when torquing. Only fit on two of my more classic hunting rifles and an AR, and none of my nicer optics, ultralights, or 22s.
Pros:
- None
Cons:
- A great many
Best Used for:
- A novice with a classic hunting rifle and scope

Flimsy and doesn't work for all rifle/scope set ups
It worked as advertised one one rifle/scope set up but on the other with standard Ruger rings and a Leupold with a 33 mm objective the rifle leveling piece did not go low enough to sit on the objective housing as per instructions thus the rifle could not be leveled and the tool was completely uselesss. Plus the entire tool is made of flimsy plastic. The tripod the leveling grid sits on is very herd to level due to very poor poor construction. I have reported this to the Real Avid company. They have no solution and advised I return the tool andget my money back. I will attempt to do that now.
Pros:
- Good idea
Cons:
- too flimsy and not well thought out
Would recommend: No
