This is a professional grade tool, it matched up perfectly to the notches on my castle nut and I was able to easily torque it down to 40 lb without any issues at all. Don't make the mistake I did and try to save a few bucks buying a cheap multifunction AR-15 armorers wrench that breaks the first time you try to use it and then purchase this wrench, just buy this wrench first, it does one thing, it does it well, it's worth every penny.
Best Used for:
- Castle nut install & removal AR15

I purchased this tool to obtain correct torque on a billet castle nut. It worked as advertised with no issues. I do recommend using the good 3M blue painters tape on billet or high dollar castle nuts if scratches are a concern. This has nothing to do with the quality of the tool or how it works, just added protection. I highly recommend this tool as well as any Real Avid products.
Pros:
- Good Quality, Works as advertised

I found this tool to be way better than an armorer’s wrench when it comes to torquing down a castle nut. It is a breeze to use and takes up less space in my toolbox. I wish I knew about this tool as well as its corresponding tools before I bought the armorer’s wrench.
Pros:
- Ease of use
- grabs the castle nut well

This is a solid tool. Quality.
I would much prefer a wrench type of tool so I could have decent leverage and grip… but that’s not happening.
I used a torque wrench as you’re supposed to. It worked great, but I suggest keeping your hand on the tool to make sure it doesn’t slip. Perhaps having someone hold it while you torque would work well.

This is much better than multitool armorer's wrenches, which can slip and be difficult to attach & apply torque with a torque wrench. This piece is solid and in perfect specs. Real Avid is taking over.
