Real Avid Vise Block
For the price you really can't beat this vise block. It's the only block out there that adjusts to magwells and securely fits without any wiggle room. The block is made of very solid and robust plastic, but it feels like there's a metal core. It's very very solid. The red knob at the bottom is easily adjustable to move an internal pin up or down thereby spreading the upper "flaps" outward to fit in any magwell. With this securely inside your ARs well, there is absolutely no budging or play whatsoever. It has made armoring work super simple. I would say this is by far the best AR vise block on ...

Worked, not thrilled with performance
I bought this Vise block because other real Avid products were of good quality and innovative. What I found with this Vise block was a product that didn't work well. Fit into an AR15 lower was too tight, even at loosest setting. It didn't hold the lower upside down firmly...wouldn't fit. Seemed to break in a bit over time so I will keep using it, but not thrilled with this tool.

Great item.
Have used it a few times now for building lowers. Adjust it to fit your lower, put it in the vice and you’re ready to go. Great for getting the castle nuts torqued.
Purchase their AR10 sleeve so it works with those lowers too.

Rock solid. Helped my buddy do a lower receiver build with this in the magwell. Works like a champ.

Great Vise Block!
I used the Real Avid Smart-Fit AR15 vise block on my second build of an Anderson Manufacturing build kit. On my first build, I only used my vice. With the second build, I used the Real Avid Smart-Fit AR15 vise block. It was very sturdy and the AR-15 was held in position. The build was much easier with it than without it. It definitely locked my gun in place. A great tool at a great price!

Smart fit block
Tight fit using the expansion paddle on the bottom and is well built. The pivot block is a handy addition.
