The overall design and material used for this part is excellent. I have another one with a nitride finish and it is perfect. DLC is not a good finish for this kind of part. It will chip and rub off very easily if you use any kind of wrench to torque this on or off. It’s also very slippery and the threads are DLC coated, which makes it difficult to rockset without first abrading the DLC coating on the threads… nitride is a much tougher and better choice for this part. My nitride version still looks brand new.

If I could, I would swap this out for a nitride coated or bare metal finish hands-down.
