More B A N G for your buck
I couldn't find this ammo any cheaper anywhere. It's quality ammo at very fantastic price. I have used Red Army ammo for some time and it's never failed to perform and it's quite clean compared to some of the "name brand" pricey ammo. I have nothing but praise for this ammo and the great service I get at Optics Planet..
Occasional jam, maybe it was just a bad box?
I had success for the first couple boxes, very accurate and all rounds cycled. However on the 4th box I was having several jams where the casing was stuck in the chamber and extractor was shearing the lip of the casing off. I was able to get the casings out with a cleaning rod easily but I'm still a little disappointed. I was really happy with these rounds at first but now I would probably spend the extra 10 cents per round on better ammo rather than hassle with taking my gun apart several times at the range. Most likely won't be getting steel ammo again.
Pros:
- Cheap
- Accurate
Cons:
- Not reliable
- Stuck cases, jams
Best Used for:
- Target shooting

Tulammo on casing
The ammo works great. A little dirty as it comes in after looking at all of the ammo with barehands they were rather dirty. The casing clearly says tulammo around the base. The best price i have found. For those of you who hate steal case ammo i have ran more than 1k rounds through my current setup. No damage has been done to the bcg or any parts of my upper assembly. Proper care helps. I did notice the gun gets dirtier faster with this specific ammo but nothing to worry about. Packaging was good shipping time was good.
Pros:
- Functional
- Cheap and Effective
Cons:
- dirty
- NOT AMERICAN MADE
Best Used for:
- Plinking /non-competitive shooting
- Target pracrice

great ammo
Didn’t just come packed well but the bullets themselves look great, I strongly recommend these if you’re turning to save a little on range day, if you took your standard Tula or wolf and shot these through the same mag it wouldn’t feel any different
Pros:
- Well constructed
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- 556/223

Runs Great Through AR
This ammo is cheap, and runs great through an AR. Had some issues with jamming, but I think that was the spring in the mag making too much tension. Fires straight and clean. The case does have a bit of drag to it compared to brass, but it’s not too bad. I’d buy more 20 boxes of this before I give .17 more a round for brass case. Also, no fail to fire!
Pros:
- Price
- Function
- clean
Cons:
- Steel case
Best Used for:
- practice

Rebranded TulAmmo
If you shoot TulAmmo, you shoot this. Cheapest .223 as of this review. Bought 6 boxes and have yet to have a malfunction/ dud. Be sure to learn the differences between steel and brass casings. Came delivered in great shape.
