Well constructed, value priced. Two fasteners on one end of the sling instead of the traditional web sling and buckle make this a very compact installation.

Red Rock Outdoor Gear Tactical Duty Sling 1 1/4 inch wide:
A good low cost sling where drilling for QD swivel studs or military QD "hard points" can pose problems. Good case in point is ProMag Tactical Folding Stock for Remington 597 rifle. Plastic stock and buttplate use a lot of ribs inside for reinforcement. Outside of stock uses plastic about 1/8 inch thick in many places of the stock. Dangerously thin for wood screw type swivel studs. Machine screw type QD swivel studs can be used in some areas, but will require a washer or backing plate to reinforce the hole against pull-out forces on the sling swivel stud. The matching nut will need Loctite or similar compound to make sure nut does not come loose.

Due to the confined spaces between reinforcing ribs in Folding Tactical Stock, the only military QD "hard points" to use are Noveske Flush QD Sling Mount on the folding "arm" of the stock. Requires drilling a 1/2 inch hole. Just enough room on left and right sides between reinforcing ribs. Flush Mount has a square nut, but a washer or backing plate may also be needed to reinforce the thin plastic against pull-out forces exerted by the sling swivel on the flush QD mount. Loctite is advised. Situations can arise in field conditions where objects like low hanging tree branches can get tangled in the sling and put enormous pull-out forces on the sling swivel stud or flush QD mount, tearing it clean out of the stock.
