Same as Leupold design

Leupold and Redfield are interchangeable parts. If you can't find a scope base or rings in one brand use the other. Both are of high quality and much easier to remove and install than some others. If you have the same base mount on two rifles than you can swap scopes in minutes. Be sure to bore sight the rear ring side screws to center the rear of the scope or you will need a wall of cardboard at the range.

still the best

one thing you can say is that redfield will always be the best, never a problem, nothing, and now that leupold took over you just cant get much better than this, fit on my mauser perfect, snug, and rings mounted perfect too.

Bought this for my Remington 788 .308. Finding mounts for it is hard but thankfully Redfield still makes this.

Redfield one-piece base for Mauser

I'm rather pleased with this mount base. The one-piece design helps when mounting a scope on old military mausers like mine. The only issue I had was with the original that I received from Optics Planet. One of the required windage screws didn't have any threads on it at all, and couldn't be used. I contacted Optics Planet & they asked me to return it, which I did. There was a delay in sending me out a new one, because there weren't any left in stock. However, I'm pleased with the final product.
Pros: The base is good quality @ fits the receiver exactly.
Cons: Had to return the first one, because one of the windage screws wasn't threaded properly.
