RedField Raider 550 Laser Rangefinder
I can't believe your saying the MSRP is $195.00. The Redfield web-site list these for the exact same price as you. You inflated the price for MSRP then listed the manufacturers real price. This is un-acceptable conduct for such a prestigious company such as Optics-Planet. I've only had the pleasure ...

Problems, nothing but problems
First unit was returned - worked fine out to advertised limits as long as the "cross hairs" were 10 feet to the left @ 100 yards. Second unit (being returned) would not range a house further than 283 yards, and deer were "invisible" at any range where a rangefinder would be of use. Others seem to ...

Redfield Raider 550 Laser Rangefinder
This Rangefinder is small and compact. It has picked up deer out to 245yds on a sunny morning. But falls to give a reading doing early morning at day break on deer, but picked up the trees about 50yds behind it at 230yds. Have yet to have it range a target more than 275yds anything farther than that it want range. I recommend if that all the yardage u need to range.
Pros: Good for 250 yds on deer with good lighting
Cons: Not accuracte doing early morning\break of day

Not so good in Wyoming
Not bad for the price, but I need ranges on non-reflective targets out to 700 yards. I couldn't get the Raider to range to a steel target beyond 150 in bright Wyoming sunlight. I don't really need ranging below 200 yards. It's for those shots from 200 to 700 that I need help.
I'll probably go with Zeiss Victory PRF. More money.
Pros: Easy to use, light weight, compact.
Cons: poor ranging in bright Wyoming sunlight and non-reflective targets

67440: Redfield Raider 550 Laser
I basically bought this range finder to set up my targets when I go plinking out in the deasert. The ranger finder works great. I have even ranged it out to about 450. The only thing that bothers me a little about this product is the small eyepiece other than that this product works great for what I use it for. Would highly recomend for the casual shooter setting up targets from 5 to 500 yards.
Pros: Works great
Cons: Small eye piece

Redfield Raider 550 Laser 1 Rangefinder
Small, light weight, accurate. A pocket range finder that provides distance information without the bulk of a second set of binoculars. Easy to see display; fast feedback. Great for any application.

works
I had to send the first one back, as it had a big-enough black dust piece on the internal lens, somewhere.
Second one had just a small piece of dust, internally. I kept it, as returning cost $10 UPS.
I haven't verified its accuracy via tape measure, but it seems to generate readings, just fine. In fact, it works through window glass, which I had not expected.
Pros: works as expected
Cons: internal dust

Good for the price
I had difficulty ranging dark colored targets, like a black shed on the golf course. Image is very, very, slightly distorted around edge of glass and glass could use to be a tad bit clearer. Still a very good rangefinder to the price though.
Pros: Accurate ranging, lightweight, good battery life
Cons: Hard to range dark colored targets
