Excellent low cost scope - Redfield Revenge 2-7x34mm 4-Plex Rifle Scope

I bought this scope to either go on my new Marlin 22 Mag or new Savage 22 LR. As an owner of numerous high dollar scopes, I rate scopes based on their price range as it would be inherently unfair to rate this scope against a Schmidt, Swaro, or Zeiss. I would note that the optics are surprisingly clear with edge to edge clarity; the nice large ocular lens is very useful and easy to adjust; and the optics are bright with no noticed aberration. The two drawbacks I see with this scope are that the reticles are a little thin for my 45 year old eyes and there are equal or better alternatives for the money - namely the Weaver Kaspa. Had I not also purchased the Weaver Kaspa 2-7x32, I would have rated this scope a solid 5 in virtually all categories "for the money." But, my eyes prefer the Kaspa, which was a great surprise for $60 or so less, not counting the $40 rebate from Redfield. I would note that my son and son-in-law preferred the thinner reticle of the Redfield whereas I liked the thicker Kaspa reticle. Either way I would recommend this scope so long as there is a rebate or price drop. Otherwise, I would advise anyone to seriously look at the Kaspa.
Pros: good build quality, easy adjustments, large eyepiece, and edge to edge clarity
Cons: cheaper alternatives, thin reticle
