Very Interesting!
I bought this scope for my Browning X-Bolt Varmint Special in 22-250. The scope is clear even at 18X which is necessary to use the Accu-Ranger function. The scope adjusted accurately. I sighted it in at 200yds per the instructions and was able to test it at 300yds and it was pretty much on using ...

2 negative issues
After firing only 14 shots from my .270 Winchester, I have sent this scope to Leupold in Oregon for evaluation on the MOA issue. They have some problems with their owner's manual in that the 1/4 and 1/8 MOA issue is mixed up as is their web site. Their customer service person has been very understan...

Top notch scope
I purchased the Redfield Revenge 6-18 power scope mostly by accident. I had ordered a different scope and was informed by Optics Planet by email that there would be a considerable delay in filling my order due to availability. The email offered alternative choices. Browsing the product lines (got to love the internet!) I decided to switch to this scope. When I called Customer Service I spoke with a gentleman who was extremely courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. The cancellation of my previous order and generation of the new was painless and quick. Optics Planet deserves extremely high marks for customer service. I have just become a loyal customer!
As for the scope itself: Overall appearance is quite pleasing with no sign of finish blemishes and gives a sleek look on my Ruger #1B. Redfield reputation for quality is upheld. The optics are extremely sharp even at 18X with crisp imaging even at the edges. Adjustments are precise and repeatable. "Shooting the box" exercises produced groups exactly placed at the four corners. Eye-relief is generous and focus and parallax adjustments are easily made. The turrets are easily set to "zero" for reference. This is a high quality scope at a modest price - a winner.

PD Shooter
Have two of thee scopes. One on a 22-250 and the other on a 223 Ackley IMP. Like the wide fine cross hairs for small targets way out there. No problems with either scope. I know of another one on a AR308 with good results. I don't see much difference from my Leupolds except the price.I do recommend this scope. I've had lots of scopes, good ones and bad ones. So far this is in the good category.

Redfield 6-18
Good scope. It seems easy to mount. I would appreciate more specifics concerning its capabilities..specifically to what level was it tested with respect to being called shockproof.
Good clarity and I like the brightness. Deciding which rifle to put it on and that will be based on how shockproof it is compared to my other scopes

Redfield revenge 6-18x44mm
I've bought 4 redfield scopes now including this one I would recommend these scopes to anybody out there. I have one on a Remington 700 vtr .223 caliber that I'm able to hit prairie dogs with at over 200 yds with ease. I've had it riding in my truck driving across fields and dirt roads and it seems to stay sighted in really good. My next scope I buy will probably be a redfield there pretty much all around good scopes.

Redfield Revenge
Not a bad scope, adjustments a bit tight, paid $440 here, so why is it more expensive in Australia?

Fish Bowl at Low Power
Mostly undecided about recommending this scope, since it has been shipped back to Redfield for repair. Never even took it to the range because at low power (6 to about 8) the view is badly fish-bowled. All is fine at the higher powers. Optic Planet has great service reputation and would have replaced it immediately, but since I had already mounted it, they said they could not take it back. So now its' in Redfields hands, hope to use it before the snow flies.

You get what you pay for...
For $160 scope on a $350 prairie dog rifle it fits the bill just fine. I would not put this scope on any kind of high end or critical equipment. It's perfect for my Savage B-mag 17WSM! I wanted something cheaper but a greater power magnification and this fits the bill perfectly. Getting this thing focused in and clear at different ranges proved to be difficult at times.
Pros: high magnification at a cheap price
Cons: clarity/focus

Great target and varmint scope
I have been using this scope on a sporterized GEW 98 8mm Mauser with Leupold QRW steel rings and a Ken Farrell base. At 100 and 200 yards, the optics are excellent and the adjustments are holding after 300 heavy rounds and this gun kicks. At the range, I have stopped using my spotting scope and turn up this scope to 18X. The OA objective definitely improves accuracy by eliminating parallax. The Varmint reticle is great although I wish they would offer a mil dot reticle option to let me do my own ballistics math. I have purchased a second one for a 25-06 varmint rifle being built on another GEW98 Mauser action. The scope is a great value for the money with the only negative being the weight when carrying the rifle in the field.
Pros: OA Objective, varmint reticle, quick zoon and stability
Cons: Weight
