Most Helpful Positive Review Its as good as any Redfield ever
Initial comparisons of the new Redfield Revolution 4 to 12x40mm Matte AccuRange with my various Leupolds has yielded the following results: The Redfields glass has all the clarity as that of any of my Leupolds. The Redfield has a better eye relief than that of my Leupolds. Add to this that th...

Tried to put scope on a 300 Weatherby Vanguard. Short length of tube didn't allow regular Weaver rings to be mounted. Could use offset rings but that would interfere with loading/unloading. Finish looks like sprayed on flat black Krylon paint. Number representing scope power selection are too s...

I bought this scope a few years back and will be putting them on all my firearms now...
My scope has been closed in the truck door, closed in the tail gate ( by my son ) fell down half a flight of stairs in a hard case, and last year fell out of my tree stand 10 feet up on my back onto pine needle ground and no B.S. THIS SCOPE HAS NEVER E V E R JUMPED OFF ZERO I have videos and witnesses... When I tell you this thing is a beast, blve me, the amount of punishment it takes is insane.. Glass is crystal clear.. POV is crazy comfortable with plenty of eye relief .... Cross hairs are a little on the light side for my liking but then again, being a welder, I do not see so good anyway.lol
Being in Florida is real humid most mornings and it does fog occasionally, but then again so does my Zeiss..
Mounted on a Savage 110E with Accutrigger set to just under 3.5 pounds with Leupold rings jeweled bolt and lapped the rings shooting 150 grain Federal fusion. Today we were threading holes at 100 yards... Amazing rugged scope... buy it and I promise you you will not regret it.
I also have one mounted on a Browning A5 12 gauge, Custom Mauser 8mm. 350 legend built on Ar platform and 44 mag carbine....
Pros:
  • Takes a beating and crystal clear with plenty of light reception
Cons:
  • not a dqmn thing
Best Used for:
  • hunting

Good Scope

by no nickname, from WA, United States Written on September 17, 2020
I bought mine to use on my Ruger Nr1 with 24" barrel. It's perfect. Mine is a .223. I do not normally shoot beyond 100yds. The short length is perfect for the Nr1 as there is no receiver and bolt. The down side is no lens caps. How could they omit such a detail? I'd like to see caps that swivel open then close after shooting. I made a soft leather cover with draw strings to protect the scope while mounted. So it's good. I have no need for the most expensive, highest quality equipment. I'm just an average hunter. I did my real hunting in Vietnam a very long time ago.
Pros:
  • quality vs cost
Cons:
  • no lens covers

Clear and accurate

by Denny, from PA, United States Written on August 11, 2020
I mounted this on my 460S&W magnum Encore build and it worked great. Clear and precise. No issues with handling the recoil. I plan to test it more over the next few weeks with different loads. I highly recommend this scope.

Best scope

by Haystacks, from CA, United States Written on March 9, 2020
It’s American made, in Oregon. I think that if you don’t want to spend $1000 on a scope then this is the scope for you. It is as clear as any high dollar scope I have looked through it holds its zero through being transported horse back and being knocked around in the truck. I like both of the Redfield scopes I have and wouldn’t even look at another brand when I buy another scope.

Excellent Scope for the Money

by prh, from MO, United States Written on March 31, 2019
I now have two of these scopes and another one on the way. Redfield is now made by Leupold, and right here in the USA. This scope tracks like a dream. Cost is reasonable and quality is just as good as some higher priced scopes. I definitely recommend.

Poor internal works

by Hank 63, from BC, Canada Written on March 17, 2019
The scope has great optic clarity, however the MOA adjustments and internal springs are not accurate and functional. Send into Leupold for repair came back the same. I’ve always mounted my scopes with perfection and double check my mounts and rings when this happens. Dissatisfied with service and the poor quality of this scope.
Pros:
  • Clarity in optics
Cons:
  • poor warranty service

This scope has issues, do not buy!

by mike, from FL, United States Written on December 3, 2018
I bought this scope 3 years ago and had no issues till last year in which Leopold replaced the erector spring assembly and I sighted it in. Took the rifle out this year and it was low and right, made adjustments and chased the rifle through 40 rounds over a two day period. Took the rifle (.270 caliber) to a gunsmith and bought new Leopold rings. They installed the rings, torqued to spec, and sighted it in an inch high at 100 yards. Rifle was put away in a padded hard case, hunted with the rifle, shot an eight point in Georgia low. Took the rifle to the range only to find that it was shooting 14" low at 100 yards. Called Leopold and they said to send it in which I did; they found no issue with it of course. I will never own anything that says Leopold or Redfield again and would suggest anyone thinking of it paying a little more money for a scope that will last more than two seasons!

How I see it.

by NM Mule, from NM, United States Written on November 14, 2018
This is the third scope from Redfield all 4-12’s. Great scopes that don’t break the bank. Big game to predator, good weather to bad, noonday to dusk, they get the job done! If I bought another rifle today OPTICS PLANET would be getting an order for another scope the same day. FYI I really love the accu range reticle. Test it at different ranges and you will have known aiming points instantly on your hunts.
