VERY Nice barrel
I received this barrel in a timely manner. I ordered it to replace my non choked, non ribbed, barrel chambered for 2-3/4 shells only. This barrel is a GREAT improvement. It has a gloss finish to match my Wingmasters finish. It has a threaded barrel to change chokes, It is ribbed and has a center bead to line up with the bead at the end of the barrel and is chambered for 3" shells. Now I fell like my old wingmaster is complete.
Oh and did I say it looks GREAT? VERY NICE!
Fit my older Wingmaster great
As the title said, this dark blued 28" fit up my wingmaster to complement my 1966 20" brushmaster barrel. Patterned it with express #6 at 20 yards and the modified choke was spot on target. My wingmaster is slightly lighter blued but this barrel does not look out of place. Came with IC and Full chokes. I cleaned the barrel thoroughly before use and took out a lot of preservative oil. Nice barrel.

Remington 870 Ribbed 28" Barrel
Good, Bad or Indifferent I live and shoot in California. Effective Jan 1, 2019 shooting upland game, to include doves, requires steel shot! The 870 Wingmaster I bought as a kid in 1970 has a fixed Modified Choke 28" ribbed barrel. I've other shotguns, but the 870 is in incredible shape for its age, I'm not about to ruin the fixed choke barrel with steel shot. The OEM Remington barrel I purchased from Optics Plant (my go to shooting store) was a great buy--the price was right, the product perfect. Not Remington or Optics problem, my older 870 receiver won't accept 3" shells, not a biggie. The 3 flush Rem chokes that came with the barrel are great, but the full choke is not for steel shot. Overall I couldn't be happier with my purchase!
