Steve G's Review of OpticsPlanet Exclusive RISE Armament RA-240 Enhanced Rifle Trigger
Besides price. The RA 250 differences are the anodizing color of the trigger housing and the trigger shape. The trigger shape is slightly straighter than the standard RA-140 and not completely flat like the RA-140 flat face. I call this the perfect blend between standard curve and the flat face, kind of a hybrid style trigger. I can run it bare handed or with my gloves. Bought 3 of the 240s. I haven't cracked one open yet and shouldn't have to. Solid unit as described. I have several other triggers that cost twice or three times the price of these RAs and some aren't as crisp as this. A 10 pull average on my digital scale always comes in between 3.2 to 3.6, so the claimed 3.5 is very realistic. RA lists this as their entry level trigger but it performs well above entry level. I could run a 3 gun match or camp out for some long range precision with it comfortably. AR trigger swaps are super easy but read the instructions. Dont forget to tighten the set screws under the hammer against the receiver. The anti-walk pins should have slight rotation in them once installed, meaning the screw locks down tight on the ends of the pins but does not lock tight against the receiver. (anti-walk vs anti-rotation) Once you have performed full function test, put a drop of blue 242 on each pin set screw. I have had great luck with RA products over past couple of years. The RA 434 and 535 are a step up at their respective price points and fantastic triggers. When assisting newbies with their first builds or trigger upgrades, the 140 and 240s have become my Go To recommendation.
