Most Helpful Positive Review Budget Red Dot that works well
Was looking for a budget to mid-range Red Dot for a build. Ran across this company that is a small business and veteran owned. The price was fair so why not. Ok now the product. Comes with a lifetime warranty. Clear glass with very little dot glare. Dot holds shape, No star burst. Build quality is g...

Most Helpful Negative Review Good for the Price
My only downside to this optic is...when looking through, it's not a perfect circle. You see this little bump that kind of drives me nuts. It's for the red dot display but still, not bad for the price. Unscrewing the battery cover wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. I think if they put a gr...

Great red dot

by Steve Bundy, Verified Owner from KY, United States Written on February 2, 2024
Looked at several red dots the Optics Plant stocked in the under $100 range. I settled on this one and have been very pleased so far! It is very well made, was easy to install on my AKM Picattiny rail, easy to zero, and has kept zero through over 100 full power loads. The range of brightness levels is all I need from the dimest light to full sunlight. I like that it has 22mm lenses which have about 30% more area than the 20mm lenses most others had in this price range. I like that between each brightness level it turned off the dot which makes it easy to reset when to your previous level if you want. So far I can’t think of any negatives with this sight and believe others would be well served and pleased with it!
Pros:
  • Easy to install and sight in, well made
Cons:
  • None

Great optic regardless of price

by Dude, from NC, United States Written on August 7, 2022
Put this thing through the ringer. Mounted to Bravo company 5.56. Has held its zero through multiple range days and with some heavy drills with hundreds of rounds. Not just plinking. Target acquisition is fast and accurate. I bought it because it was on sale for a price that I figured what the heck and am pleasantly surprised.
Pros:
  • Affordable and accurate
Cons:
  • none yet
Best Used for:
  • fast shooting

Nice Red Dot at a Good Price

by JonJon77, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on August 2, 2022
I first bought an inexpensive (as in $35) red dot on Amazon but really wanted a decent brand to pair with my Viridian GDO 3x Magnifier. I was happy with the price and the dot seemed like a solid red dot. I never tried it at the range though. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted and in the end decided I wanted a parallax free reflex sight. I ended up returning this and getting a Sight Mark M-Spec reflex sight. But I would recommend this red dot for anyone looking for a $100 re dot for their rifle or shotgun.

Budget Red Dot Not Anti-Fog

by JonJon77, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on July 25, 2022
I mounted this with a 3x magnifier. It seems like a decent red dot sight so far but, despite the description, it is not anti-fog. The last 2 nights I’ve gone in my backyard to zero it with a laser bore sighter at 25 yards but I couldn’t see through it because it keeps fogging up. I wipe the lenses and the fog comes right back. So far I haven’t been able to zero it. It wasn’t even raining. It had rained recently. This is a big downside considering I live in the southeast where it’s always humid. I don’t want a sight I can only use half of the time. I want it to perform whenever I need it to. Either they’re lying about the lenses being anti-fog or the tech they use to make them anti-fog doesn’t work.
Pros:
  • Seems like a solid red dot in the right conditions
Cons:
  • Lenses fog up in humidity

Good dot for the price

by JonJon77, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on July 24, 2022
I bought this to replace a larger one I bought on Amazon for $65. It was very bright but had a starburst even at lower brightness. I also wanted a small one to mount with my 3x magnifier. The larger one would have looked like too much with my magnifier. I saw this same sight at a local gun store for $200! The markup on gun products is ridiculous. Anyway, I’m happy with the sight so far. It looks good and no starburst even on the brightest setting. I like that it turns off on the click between each numbered brightness. Makes it easy to keep it near my preferred brightness. I haven’t fired my rifle with it yet but I’m looking forward to it. I do agree with another reviewer that mentions that it isn’t a perfect circle because you can see the little bump where the red dot comes from in the bottom right. It isn’t a big deal though. It’s easily ignored. It looks sharp also. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase. Especially knowing gun shops are charging twice as much.
Pros:
  • Quality red dot at decent price
Cons:
  • The small area you can see where the red dot comes from
Best Used for:
  • all around shooting

Outstanding Value Red Dot Optic

by audioman, Verified Owner from UT, United States Written on February 9, 2022
Purchased from OP about two months ago. An older review indicated that no battery is included, but mine shipped with a new CR2032 in the box, along with several other accessories. Overall presentation of packaging is excellent! A word about the two included mounts: neither one matches the quality and sophistication of a Scalarworks or Geissele, but it would be unreasonable to expect this given the price point of the system. Nevertheless, these are solidly built and attractive pieces that nicely compliment the quality of the red dot. The Riton comes with the lower 1/3 co-witness unit attached, and it mounted easily to the picatinny rail. The QD feature works smoothly and was easy to adjust for a solid fit.
Range performance is exemplary: very little adjustment was needed for zero and the field of view is superb for this class of optic. The glass quality, in my opinion, is above average for the price of an entry-level red dot.
All in all, you get a lot for your dollar. At least as much if not more, than any other brand or model out there. Seriously, it ranks at or near the very top of the class. Very highly recommended!

.300 Blk AR pistol

by KJ, from NM, United States Written on January 29, 2022
Built my first AR and, while deciding on sights/optics, I stumbled across this bad boy. I did some research, watched a few videos, and pulled the trigger. It arrived and I was very pleased at the package and initial quality. The only thing I am not a fan of is the QR mount. I prefer fixed mounts, but after a little adjustment, it is solid. I took it out on a bright, sunny day. No issues seeing the dot, dot was clear, no loosening from recoil, zeroed quick and easy…… this is a very good optic and you can’t beat the price!
Pros:
  • just about everything
Cons:
  • IMO, the QR mount

Great Little Red Dot! Super easy to install and use. Comes with a two mounts a high and a low. Super Easy to zero and find the dot in bright sunny day.
