Most Helpful Positive Review Riton Tactix Mag 3 3x Magnifier
Bought this to pair with my Riton X1 Tactix RRD on a Ruger 556 flat top. Overall like the look and operation. Nice wide field of view, clear bright optics, seems durable and well made. I like that the windage and elevation adjustments on the magnifier do not affect the red dot impact point, just moves the optics to center the view. Now the reasons I did not give it 5 stars. Even though the view is not affected, the Magnifier does not exactly line up with the Red dot. Off by 1mm or so. Second and it may have been just an oversight on my unit but there were no instructions in the box and there ...

Wow! I'm impressed - beat the more expensive competitor

by Ryan, from PA, United States Written on September 23, 2021
I have an Eotech 512 on my .300blk AR pistol and I have been shopping and comparing 3X and 5X flip down magnification optics for quite some time. Even though I started by looking at MUCH pricier optics, I eventually settled on the Riton and have been VERY well served by this little optic. Some things that really blew me away were the quality and clarity of the glass given the price, the robust mount and flip-down mechanism, and the unbelievably good eye relief. I compared this to both an Eotech 3x, the Sig Juliette 4x, and the Sightmark 3X... This out-performed them all, yes, even the Eotech. (The Riton had much more forgiving eye relief!) So do not hesitate, buy with confidence, this is as solid as you could ask for. The windage and elev. controls are crisp but you could adjust them with a fingernail if need be, they come with screw-down covers. Of course they don't control your zero, but rather allow you to put your reticle or red dot directly down the middle for the best eye relief. The mount is very intuitive, it takes just a second to get used to it but its VERY SIMPLE which I love, so it can be deployed or rotated out of your sight with a simple tug and push. (You pull it back about 2mm to unseat a metal wedge which frees the mechanism to articulate the magnifier into or out of place, a spring pulls it back into place upon release so it is very easy, intuitive, and satisfying to flip up and down) No buttons, snaps, or other weird mechanisms to break. Whoever design...

Amazing for the price

by 300Blk Fiend, from PA, United States Written on June 28, 2021
Wow~! Riton did well with this little piece. Outperforms other 3X and 5X optics Ive used and had the pleasure to demo from much pricier brands. Eye relief is particularly better than even some of the "big names" like Vortex Sig and Eotech (the Vortex 3X was particularly disappointing given the name, they must put all their money into their big ticket items. Ex: I Love their Strike Eagle scope btw) For the price of a cheap-o 3X Mag like a SightMark or Olight, you end up with something really nice and robust that feels like a more expensive piece of glass. This 3X feels solid, attaches to the mount with 6 hex screws (overkill but nice touch) and the pull-to-flip out mount is really intuitive and sturdy. Mounts to pic rail with one large screw/nut which is wedged so you can tighten nice and snug with coin or spent casing. Mine has not come loose in over 500 rounds of 300blk. The flip-down arm DOES wobble very slightly due to wide manufacturing tolerances in the flip-down mechanism's parts, but this is tolerable. If your Eotech (or whatever holo/red dot youre using) is sighted in, the alignment of your magnifier has no impact on shot placement. Rather, the crosshairs might just be slightly off center and there are windage and elevation controls to fix even that. Great pick up for the price, the clarity and forgiving eye-relief compared to main-brand competitors was the really pleasant surprise for me. I paired this with my Eotech 512 and feel very confident in the pair. Even...

I Was Skeptical

by Charlie, Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on March 11, 2021
I wish this came with directions. Not super upset, this isn't my first rodeo. This is by far one of the clearest magnifiers that I've used. Really impressed due to the Vortex competition. If you are looking for something that's not going to break the bank, look no further. As of now, it holds the zero.
Pros:
  • Sturdy
  • Quality !!
Cons:
  • Heavy
  • no directions
Best Used for:
  • Target shooting
