Most Helpful Negative Review Spring jumped partly out front of gun on P365 (non-XL)
I have the Rival Arms tungsten recoil assemblies for both P365 and P365XL. The XL version works fine; but the P365 non-XL version spring diameter is a bit too small at the front end, where it appears to narrow slightly just behind the disk that captures the front of the spring, allowing the spring to jump through the end of the slide during recoil occasionally. I wrote to the company about this a number of weeks ago…nothing but crickets so far.

Recommend with a caveat

by owen, from MI, United States Written on February 20, 2025
So if you're willing to take it apart and clean it and put your own red loctite on it, it's a good product. They stuff they use inevitably comes off and you'll have to redo it, but now that I've put my own on with primer in it, it's holding great and works great. I've seen elsewhere other peoples having the same issue. So loctite without primer in it doesn't work on tungsten or stainless, which they seem to have used. Most threadlocker you buy in stores now has primer in it.
Pros:
  • Works once fixed, allows tuning with different springs
Cons:
  • Will come apart unless cleaned and red threadlocker is used on the end that heats up
Best Used for:
  • Spring weight tuning, comps, suppressors

Excellent product to balance my P365

by KertP, Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on March 13, 2024
This guiderod provides just enough extra weight to make it easier to point, aim and shoot my P365, especially when I have the XL gripframe installed, or use the 12-round magazine with the standard gripframe. Took me a while to decide to purchase it an give it a try, but I am glad I did as it really does make a difference in how my P365 handles.

Didn’t work

by Alec Faircolth, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on July 13, 2023
Save yourself the trouble and buy a OEM Sig guide rod. Could barely pull the slide back, slide release didn’t work, I had to take it to a gunsmith to get it fixed. Save yourself the heartache, buy a standard.

Missing a washer on the end of the guide rod.

by AD, Verified Owner from MS, United States Written on July 27, 2022
Guide rod came from the factory missing a washer so it will not work in the gun. I guess it would work if it was not missing pieces but cannot know for sure. Not really a good sign though because if it was somehow missing maybe that means it will unscrew like the other user stated in his review.
Pros:
  • Seems heavier
Cons:
  • Did not come useable.

tungsten GR

by Tdaddy, Verified Owner from MN, United States Written on January 10, 2022
Would not recommend. The end is screw on and afyer about 50 rds came loose causing light strikes every few rounds. Found the issue before a catastrophic failure. I have applied red loctite and am monitoring. Will update if issue persists.
