Rival arms Glock 17 gen 3 guide rod assembly

The guide rod does not fit.. maybe I received the wrong one or I received a bad one but the box confirms Glock 17 gen 3. There’s a gap from the barrel where the rod should sit. I also have a rival arms barrel which fits fine in a alpha shooting slide.
