Choate Tool's Review of RIX STORM S3 35mm Thermal Scope
I have owned and hunted with several thermal scopes in the past few years. ATN, Trijicom and now RIX. The RIX Storm image is on par with my Reap-IR scope but the Storm is much easier to use. The Storm is very user friendly and easy to zero. Shot recording feature is great. And it hold zero very well unlike other thermals. Batteries are easy to change and comes with a charger and two batteries with good life and the stand by feature is nice.
The things I don't like about it is its lowest magnification is 3.5 power. I wish it had a 1X power setting, not a big problem but it would be nice on small stuff close. The instruction book and web page manual has something to be desired. A lot of the features you have to figure out on your own. Fortunately its not a complicated system with menu selections that are straight forward.

- Not complicated to use. Easier than I thought.
Cons:
- needs a 1X zoom
- needs better manual
