Quality lacking compared to the real thing
These are best described as knock-offs of real issued gear. When compared to actual surplus ECWCS Level 3 fleece, this has roughly 1/2 to 2/3 the thickness and is less dense, making for significantly less-effective insulation. Additionally, the zipper is a cheap plastic single rather than the double zipper on the real thing and there is no draw-cord around the waist. Ultimately, you're much better-off paying less per item for actual issued surplus gear - I would not buy this again.
