Poppgunn's Review of RUIKE P801 Framelock Folding Knife
Ruike is a Chinese company owned by Fenix flashlights. Clearly after building a solid reputation, they are not willing to lose it. Something European and American should try to remember. I own several Ruike knives, and have never had a bad one. The 801 is no exception. I have the dark finish version. Blade is shaving sharp and perfectly ground and centered. Action is very smooth with maybe a hint of grittiness, but after using a synthetic oil, it seems to be even slicker. Frame lock provides a secure lock up. The only real critique, which has also been noted by others, is that they placed the thumb stud on the blade too close to the point of rotation. I rarely use this anyway preferring to flick it open. Overall, decent steel and great attention to details. Can't believe this knife is offered at this price point. Even better with OPs discounts.
Pros:
- Good steel, excellent attention to details
Cons:
- Thumb stud is too close to pivot point
Best Used for:
- Every day carry (EDC)
